CTH: As many have eloquently said before, politics is a circle of money. The politicians provide taxpayer funds to selected private sector businesses, and those corporations fund the political efforts of the politicians. It’s a circle of interests disconnected from the American electorate.
In the latest example, the pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer, a multinational who received billions in taxpayer funds for their COVID-19 vaccination and other efforts, now gives a generous $1 million contribution to the Republican Party of Kentucky to expand a new building for the state party. Kentucky is the home state of Senate Leader Mitch McConnell. Nothing to see here, move along, move along folks….

In McCONnell’s defense, that’s just a down payment from Pfizer and their $Billion Dollar CEO, CFO, etc., there will be “much” more coming to McCONnell’s campaign fund and PACs as he goes for re-election.
McCONnell is known as the turtle until real lettuce is waved in his face, he then is a rabid rabbit.
It’s probably entirely a coincidence, and is definitely NOT part of some quid pro quo arrangement.
Seems like it would be fairly easy to bring charges of ‘conspiracy to commit a crime’ but I also realize most political criminals are well insulated from the law….by their own design.
A ‘generous’ million bucks, really? A million bucks means nothing to Pfizer or McConnell. If Pfeizer wants to bribe their way out of Covid vax lawsuits, Mitch needs to ask the Clintons, Obamas, and Bidens how to squirrel away a couple hundred million untraceable dollars.
The swamp has been building for decades. There has been 2 interruptions, Reagan and Trump.
