Queer hitchhiker in “Two Lane Blacktop.”
So glad you posted this. I’m a huge old western fan. This guy was prolific in the old westerns. His “News” character in Butch and The Kid were Epic. One of my favorite charterer actors. I love watching his work.
Great actor. I knew of him for other reasons as at a young age. Got to know his style and appreciated it. He was better than his critics.
I thought Harry Dean Stanton was McGuyver. Shows what I know. Then again, TV. Meh.
I did see Wild At Heart. Took quite a while for that skull to drop back into the parking lot.
I can’t imagine harry in pink.
Good for him he made it to 91….wow that’s great.
I guess things weren’t workin’ out for him today:

Private Willard in “Kelly’s Heroes.”
I’m a big western fan, he did lots of Gunsmoke and Rawhide, but the line I remember most from him;

I liked his acting and I never saw him in politrics. 91? I hope he enjoyed the ride.
Funny, I never really noticed him until I watched “Escape From New York” then he stood out in every movie that had him in it that I watched. Great character actor, one of the best Hollyood has ever seen. RIP “Brain”
He was such a good actor, he really seemed to become the characters he played. Really enjoyed his work.
He played the father in the initial Red Dawn movie.
RIP, buddy.
Red Dawn! “Avenge meeeeeee!”
Always liked his work. Fare well, Mr. Stanton.
He lent a lot of realism to the other actors he appeared with.
RIP
Enjoyed his work.
Time for a little rest, Harry Dean…another film role will come soon enough in the alternate universe….
“Hell! That trailers’ more popular than uncles day in a whorehouse!”
