Isn’t that what all Horror Monsters should succumb to?
May the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Sure are a lot of prominent people getting brain cancer these days….and they all seem to be big Libs. Hummmm…..
It’s the mental illness of liberals exposing itself. They’re a cancer on society.
And they can’t blame us — it’s their own koolaid they’re drinking.

The original NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET is a classic. It’s inventive and witty, with a mean streak a mile long.
THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW is also worth a look.
Didn’t really care for anything else he directed, but NIGHTMARE alone is enough for a doff of the hat from me. RIP.
I met him at a hotel bar years ago.
They had one of those horror conventions going on.
From what I remember he was a decent guy.
He was drunk at two AM just like me.
Rest in peace Wes.
I shudder to think what his end-of-life hallucinations were like. Hope he had a good support team.
I wasn’t even aware of his passing and then as I was listening to SRF Radio 4 News in Switzerland this morning a report came on talking about this, so he is well recognized outside of the US as well.
This news report included an interview with Craven where he mentioned that after his early success he unsuccessfully tried to develop other projects outside of the horror genre, and became bankrupt. So he had to go back to writing horror stories again which he really didn’t want to do. Then came the success of Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream and of course he never looked back.
RIP
Thanks for the movies.
I have to wonder if the long term incipient brain cancer helped with the creation of the horror stories.
Brain cancer: the ultimate horror.
RIP Wes Craven – Horror Master
You succumbed to brain cancer
