And if he makes it to The Show, all it took was a team willing to invest in the potential. 30 teams had the chance and I’m glad the Wilpons were willing to spend a few bucks. Hey, Piazza was drafted as a “courtesy” in the 62nd round and he only wound up being the most productive catcher in the history of the game, not to mention one of the better defensive backstops.

That is so cool-I had the great pleasure to watch him guide the Broncos, in the half season(or so) that they let him lead the team, to the playoffs winning with some of the most exciting finishes I’ve ever seen.
