American taxpayers could be footing the bill for up to $50,000 per borrower in student debt forgiveness — at least if Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York is to be believed.
On Wednesday, the Democratic leader in the upper chamber of Congress said the White House was closer to major student debt forgiveness “than ever before.”
“I have talked personally to the president on this issue a whole bunch of times,” Schumer said in a virtual address during the Student Debt Crisis Center’s “State of Student Debt Summit.” More

There’s more to it than that. People who want to pay CAN’T pay. Jennifer has not been able to pay her Federal student loan debt. Just can’t. The Fed won’t accept the money. There’s no place to even put it.

Well, so much for the GI Bill as a recruiting tool. Some people joined the Armed Forces to get an education after their service. Now instead of being known as Veterans they’re known as “Suckers”, and their tax dollars will pay off the Loans of the people who didn’t serve.
