FOX:
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer made what one Twitter user called “the worst argument for net neutrality ever” Wednesday when he attempted to pull off a sly reference to the hookup euphemism “Netflix and chill.”
The tweet in question was part of a thread in which Schumer argued against the repeal of so-called “net neutrality” rules which govern customer access to apps and websites.
“Without #NetNeutrality when a couple is streaming their favorite #Netflix show but it keeps lagging and killing the mood, who will be to blame?”
The message had been retweeted 209 times as of Wednesday afternoon, but had garnered 550 responses — many of them mocking Schumer. MORE HERE
Chuck, you need a Youth of Today Advisor on your staff. Some young person who is hip to what the kids are saying. Maybe someone who is already in the news speaking for the kids and who knows everything. I think I know just the guy.
Dems have sex? From the looks of their women I’ve always assumed that they were grown in labs, not very hygienic ones at that.
Makes me glad I have NEITHER Tweeter NOR Sexflix, if Schmuckles endorses them! :BARF:
And yet NN does nothing for the consumer, it supposedly allows the small fry (like this site) to have all the bandwidth of the big guys, for the same low, low price. End result, all sites get low bandwidth and every site pays bigger bux to use it.
Gov’t regulation never made anything work better, it makes everything work at the LEAST common denominator.
@burner
That’s not how it works. NN stops the Times from throwing the Post’s papers away.
Why do you think you don’t pay extra for long distance on your cell?
There needs to be some antitrust lawsuits to straighten the Googles and Twitters out.
Your explanation is Googles talking point, and it’s lame, they like being #one.
“This is the worst argument for net neutrality ever made.
Please leave this one to people who understand the issue, Chuck.”
Do synagogues excommunicate their members? I have no idea. If they do, give Schumer his walking papers.
