Sen. Bernie Sanders wants to know if the NSA spied on Congress

Washington Examiner

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., wrote Friday to the head of the National Security Agency demanding to know if the agency secretly gathered intelligence on members of Congress.

“Has the NSA spied, or is the NSA currently spying, on members of Congress or other American elected officials?” Sanders asked in his short letter to Gen. Keith Alexander, the NSA director.

Sanders said “spying” would include gathering metadata on phone calls made from official or personal phones, content from websites visited or emails sent, or collecting any other data from a third party not made available to the general public.

The outspoken Sanders added he was “deeply concerned” by revelations that American intelligence agencies harvested the phone records, emails and web activity of millions of innocent Americans without reason to suspect them of illegal activity.

  1. Gee, Bernie, how could Barry and the CPUSA get everyone to do what they wanted if they didn’t?

No fool like an old fool.

“No honor among thieves” comes to mind as well.

  2. Hey Bernie, it was you and your buddies in the House that made all this spying possible. You pass law after law without reading them and then you wonder, “How In The Hell Did This Happen?”

You’re all corrupt and have sold your souls for your own personal gain. Didn’t you all take an Oath to uphold The Constitution? Have any of you noticed the man who wants to be King Obama has thrown out the Constitution at every turn? Your deep concerns about your privacy mean nothing to me and millions of honest Americans.

  3. The public wants to know the effect influence peddlers had on Congress’ voting record. Think we will get an answer to that question?

  4. Sanders is very concerned about the millions of unemployed so he thinks we need to raise the minimum wage to $10.10. I guess he thinks that those folks that can’t get a job that pays $7.25 will be happier if they can’t get a job that pays more.

    You can’t fix stupid.

  5. @Menderman, “Having an “I” after his name is like having a Sarah Palin sticker on a Prius…”

    From Wiki:
“Sanders is a self-described democratic socialist, and has praised Scandinavian-style social democracy;he is the first person elected to Congress to identify as a socialist in six decades.”

    Supprazz, supprazz!

  6. Naturally, Sanders only gives a shit whether he and the other criminals in Congress are being spied upon. He doesn’t give a rat’s ass about the people that support his overpaid salary and benefits that the American public can only dream about. F’ We The People, it’s all about me and my “esteemed” colleagues.

These worthless bastards make me want to punch a brick wall.

  7. Yes, Congress was examined, and there were absolutely no signs of intelligent life there.

Oh, that was the NASA investigation? Never mind.

  8. Keith Alexander, the Brave New World’s Heinrich Himmler: “We don’t need to make you talk … we already know what you said … and to whom.”

“Oh, Bernie, it’s not spying if we have your permission.”

  9. I grew up in Vermont. It was a great place in the 70s and 80s. Then Bernie and the progs showed up. Sanders was first elected mayor of Burlington due, in large part, to borderline vote fraud. He and his prog minions made a huge push to get out-of-state students at the Univ. of VT to register to vote there, even though their official residences were elsewhere. He won the mayor’s office by a handful of votes and it’s been all downhill from there. Now, Vermont’s just a nice place to be FROM.
