On a night when Republicans swept races around the country, Baldwin declared victory early Wednesday morning, saying she had bucked the red tide by eking out a narrow win over GOP challenger Eric Hovde to secure a third term in the U.S. Senate.
“It is clear that the voters have spoken and our campaign has won,” Baldwin said in a statement. “The people of Wisconsin have chosen someone who always puts Wisconsin first, someone who shows up, listens, and works with everyone to get the job done.”
With 98.6% of the votes counted, Baldwin led Hovde by 49.3% to 48.6% — a margin of 25,614 votes — in a race that drew attention and big bucks from around the country. Absentee ballots had not yet been tabulated in Oak Creek, and officials had not counted all votes in Oshkosh. More
Yeah, probably.
At the moment, GOP have 52 with 4 up in the air, likely 2 to each party.

**** ****, bitch
Hovde losing to Baldwin takes a little bit of the shine off victory Wednesday. President Trump and control of the House and Senate goes a long ways to easing the disappointment.
