Students of a local high school were ready to wear red, white, and blue to honor the lives lost on Sept. 11. But school staff pulled the plug, concerned the expression could be racially insensitive and offend some people.

At Eastlake High School in Sammamish, [WA] student leadership promoted a Patriot’s Day theme at a football game at Memorial Stadium against Rainier Beach. The game was previously canceled, then rescheduled to the day before the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. Students wanted to do something to remember the tragic events. But staff intervened. More

  1. Can we all line up in Idaho and just push that $#_&-@+ state into the ocean? Maybe it’ll float over to NOKO so they will get a taste of what they create.

After all the conservatives leave, anyway.

  2. Libs think they’re so caring of other peoples feeling when actually they couldn’t care less about what other people think as long as their wants and needs are fulfilled.

  3. You wouldn’t want a big group of people feeling Patriotic, they might realize the the Govt. is trying to ____ them.
Insert your favorite expletive, I wouldn’t want to “offend some people”.

It’s now “racially insensitive” to wear your nation’s colors? Seriously?!

  5. This was caused by one “un-named staffer”. This is what happens when school districts are afraid of the unions more than they fear reprisal from parents and the community.

RadioMattM — Yeah, Rainier Beach H.S. has been a pit for quite a while despite the enormous amount of $$$ that have been shoveled in there. It’s quite a shame, too, because it hasn’t always been that way. It’s sitting just blocks away, also, from Lk Washington. Prime real estate.

  6. What, and they OBEYED? What a bunch of pussies. They should have doubled down on the red, white, and blue. What are they going to do – – suspend hundreds of students for expressing their constitutional rights? They had a chance to stand up and they failed to do so.

  7. I feel sorry for kids in the turd-world shitholes called public schools.
Know what makes them turd world shitholes?
    All the dictators and tyrants.

  8. Gosh, I guess what follows is going to give some needlessly
crude offense to those elite, sensitive intellectuals, BUT: EVERY SINGLE ONE of the brain dead PC assclowns involved in that decision should be fired and given a tin cup, 2 dozen #2 pencils and a map of the city’s street corners as a going away present. And that superintendent’s letter is unmitigated, mealy mouthed, ass covering BS. DAMN!!

My thoughts, exactly, Billy. The most disturbing part of this story, is that the kids were “disappointed”. and some stayed home. WTF? I would have gone to Cabellas, and bought American Flag shirts for the whole family. Shit, I would have rented a friggin’ Uncle Sam costume.

  10. I was at Emerald Downs over the weekend for the Muckleshoot Gold Cup Indian Relay races. The races were rescheduled from June due to Covid but the crowd was still substantial. Normally my kids and I are among the few white folks in attendance at Indian Relay races, but the parimutuel betters were out for the gate races and off track betting.

OK, guys the National Anthem came on and not a sole did not show respect for the anthem and the flag. This is very typical of Indian Relay races. I’m going to tell you straight up that the Tribal members who work hard and came from as far away as South Dakota don’t play that shit. We’ve been at Omak for Stampede Week and Ellensburg for Kittitas Co Fair and EBurg Rodeo over Labor Day and if anyone had tried to take a knee they would have got their Goddamned neck wrung. In fact the Democrats booth at the fair and their presence in the parade was conspicuous in their absence this year. After the Afghanistan disaster the week prior they made themselves pretty scarce.

I have been at races where teams had an American flag painted on the haunch of their horses, along with the various traditional Indian painting on other parts of their horses.

We put up wit a lot from the Goddamned leftist filth here in Washington state, but once you get out of the shithole metropolitan areas Washingtonians are solid.
