Student With Gun Fires Shot in School Bathroom

TheNewsTribune-

Two students were detained after a shooting Monday at Oakland High School.

Police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said a single shot was fired into the floor of a men’s bathroom at the school about 11:12 a.m, and the bullet went into the room below. No one was injured.

The school, at 3319 South Adams Street, was put on lockdown following the shooting, and investigators asked parents to avoid going there until the normal end of the school day when students were released.

“Your students are safe,” Cool said. “Nobody has been injured.”

But they got into the school with a gun. Could he have entered an airplane or a federal building with that gun?

Kira Clark, a 14-year-old student, told reporters that she was in the room when the bullet came through the ceiling. She picked up the round and gave it to a teacher before she left the school with about 50 other students.

“I was very skeptical to come to school this week,” she said. “I would think it would happen with all the school shootings and threats lately.”

Because no one really cares about you. They don’t want the shooting to stop. They want you shot so they can use it to take all guns away from all citizens.

Truer words have never been posted

  2. The easiest solution is to strip search every student every day, students will have to start showing up for school at 5 AM, so the searc arehes don’t take away from learning time! Teachers and staff included!

  3. I lived in Tacoma many ages ago and had to look up the school since it wasn’t around back in the day, it is an alternative HS. Both the news article and the Tacoma Public Schools website need to do a better job of educating people by properly describing the educational establishment. But then again, calling it by its rightful name might shame the students who aren’t able to attend the more “traditional” schools.
Now there is an idea, if we start calling all public schools (or more correctly government schools) “traditional schools” then maybe the liberals will want to get rid of them since they can’t tolerate anything traditional.

wtf? … this school made out of corrugated cardboard? … usually school building standards have at least 4″ concrete decks
