  1. At first my reaction is that women are too sensitive, but then I think how I don’t want some schmuck hitting on my wife or daughter or nieces while they are just trying to do their job.

  2. Calling someone a pervert on the intercom is asking for a lawsuit.

I also couldn’t help but notice that some if not all of the names of the people she gave a shout-out to sounded like the names of darker persuasion people. That is not to suggest that Walmart is a good employer or that the stores management are not despicable people, but there is enough to suggest that perhaps some of this is about people feeling entitled.

If she really wanted to stick it to management then she and all the other disgruntled employees should have all just walked out. Let store management explain that to upper management. Consider all the problems the store would have when staffed primarily by newbies.

  3. There is a tik tok culture that lauds “lip syncing.”

I don’t understand it, but people lip-sync everything, and they don’t hide it. They lip-sync comedy routines and people “prefer” these things to the originals. People get “famous” on tik tok for their lip-syncing abilities.

so, that’s most likely what this is.

  4. I don’t blame her. I’m one of those customers who goes to WalMart with their spurs on. Started off with WalMart facemask Nazis with me. I did the wiping of my facemask before entering – my usual ritual. Then no stock. Then the locking up of merchandise – treating me like a thief. Who wouldn’t have their spurs on shopping? WalMart has created a shopping experience that no one wants. WalMart in downtown Honolulu has all self-checkout. So, quitting just gives WalMart one more checkout to be self-checkout. Don’t care.

  5. Most businesses got rid of their intercom systems a long time ago.

This type of thing is why.

Sears had a bell paging system that took most of the temptation out of this.

Others allow selections from a menu for automated pages that controls content completely.

Even used properly, most people don’t need to hear cryptic storewide announcements from a voice paging system being used by a heavy breather with a speech impediment 9 times out of 10.

Very few people have a good radio announcer voice.

  6. The nose ring said it all for me.

I guess she thought she was getting a corner office with a key to the executive washroom and a secretary that brought her mocha lattes all day.

Working for Walmart is what you call an entry-level position. You know what your job is and how much it pays. If you don’t like the conditions, quit. I don’t see this as particularly brave at all. It’s a stunt, another cry for validation from an insecure generation bereft of self-esteem.

  7. This is the second video that I have seen where a Walmart employee quits on the intercom and they both name Manager Jarod as a pervert. I wonder if Walmart moves him around to different stores.

  8. The Walmart near me locks things up but didn’t start doing that until all the illegals came in from Africa and Haiti.
The management doesn’t even care about what customers say.
They have a big tall muslim who refuses to talk to us “infidels” and goes after the muslim girls like a rabid, drooling dog. I complained about him but nothing was done.
    I’d never work there.
You aren’t allowed to have even water on the floor with you. The break room has cameras in it to keep an eye on employees.
    Nope.

  9. Base salary for a WM store manager is around 64k.
Add to that bonuses, store profitability, location, etc. could go into 6 figures.
I’m thinking there are better ways to make a buck.
