Tax filings reveal Biden cancer charity spent millions on salaries, zero on research

NYP: A cancer charity started by Joe Biden gave out no money to research, and spent most of its contributions on staff salaries, federal filings show.

The Biden Cancer Initiative was founded in 2017 by the former vice president and his wife Jill Biden to “develop and drive implementation of solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes,” according to its IRS mission statement. But it gave out no grants in its first two years, and spent millions on the salaries of former Washington DC aides it hired.

The charity took in $4,809,619 in contributions in fiscal years 2017 and 2018, and spent $3,070,301 on payroll in those two years. The group’s president, Gregory Simon, raked in $429,850 in fiscal 2018 (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019), according to the charity’s most recent federal tax filings. more

  1. Biden has learned well from the Klinton Crime Family, but just isn’t ruthless enough. If Hunter had been a Klinton, he would have already suffered an unfortunate cocaine overdose.

  2. Lemme guess what’s gonna happen to Biden over this…

Whole lotta nothin’… Evil seems to be winning on all fronts. And all we hear is a bunch of bullshit about “investigations” that never happen and lawsuits that never fucking get anywhere.

This is what Democrats support. This is what Democrats aspire to be one of the insiders on. If it were not what the Democrat who lives next door, or down the street from you, admire and covet themselves, they would be the loudest voices speaking out about it. This is absolutely and unequivocally what Democrats are, everything else about their persona is manufactured to present an image that simply has nothing of substance behind it.

  4. The poster kid for dementia becoming prez is bad for business….but look for “donations” to the “initiative” to increase exponentially if DJT’s challenges aren’t successful and we have a disabled American in the WH (for a day or two until Kamaltoes has Hitlery invite Joey to see the sights in Ft. March Park)

  5. I am very sad to be writing this (and it came to me independently from the info in JD Hasty’s comment), but I actually know (knew) Greg Simon, the former president of Biden’s Cancer Initiative.

I first met Greg while he was married to my then bestest girlfriend and co-worker. He was just finishing up his law degree at the University of Washington and was a rising star (Law Review/Moot Court winner). I last talked to him a few months after the death of my husband. I remember it as though it was yesterday. He was in D.C. at that time working for Al Gore’s campaign (Greg was an Arkansas native).

I’ve just listened/watched a bit of a video of him giving a keynote to a group in Hong Kong and he’s lost his ever-loving mind. He’s also just today personally edited his Wikipedia page to change some of the descriptions of his relationship with companies and people.

Wow. This is hard to take. Greg started out as an extremely bright, extremely capable young lawyer and now it looks like he’s about to run afoul — and it looks to me like it’s a long time coming for him.

As I say, I haven’t had a conversation with him since the late 1980’s, but it’s very sad to see what an oily, self-centered, money-grubbing ass he’s become. It looks like wherever there was a fork in the road, he took the wrong path.

His entire motivation throughout his career looks to have been money.

I think I’ll look him up.
