Textbook Bias – IOTW Report

Textbook Bias

High school history textbooks are not immune to liberal distortion and outright lies about the 2016 election.

DC Whispers-

Donald Trump earned more minority, female, union workers, and under-30 votes than any Republican candidate in generations. (His support among black voters in 2016 was DOUBLE that of John McCain in 2008) This “history” book neglects to mention any of that, describing the Trump victory as one made up of angry old white people. That is an outright lie – one being forced down the throats of school students.

  1. Liberals will forever deny that, at the end of the day, most people simply are right of center and that left wing values are inherently repugnant to decent people

  2. I was talking a few days ago with a friend. His son is going into senior year of high school and took a class in US history from Civil War forward. He took the same class as his son but with a different teacher. The difference was palpable – his teacher discussed the different points of view while his son’s teacher discussed only the liberal point.
He then mentioned that his son is becoming quite conservative and outspoken. So I guess the parents are doing a good job of opening their sons’ eyes and making them think.

  3. Let’s embrace whitey putting Trump in power. Yes we are angry and white… we still can sway elections… so bend the knee to us and kiss the ring. Trump didn’t need minority votes.

  4. This is not about Public School education:

    PS 153
    IS 180
    Harry S Truman
    CCNY

    Those are my alma maters.

This is about parenting and paying attention, NOT public school education.

Public School education comes in MANY forms …and MANY taxes!!

  5. Hasn’t a predominantly white majority of voters been responsible for putting ALL 45 presidents in office?

This textbook is just what you get when you put people like Bill Ayers in charge of procuring our school books.

  6. No, no, no, no! Of course there is widespread bias in “social studies” textbooks, but articles like that from DC Whispers are WORTHLESS in fighting the problem. It’s equivslent to saying “someone said a bad thing”. If you want parents and citizens to fight this crap they need to know the NAMES of the publisher and the specific textbook series!
