Gave me chills in a couple of places during her playing.
Amazingly well done.
The player is quite skilled.
Oh my gosh, I loved this!
Very talented!
Very talented lady. I was grinning like a doofus as I was enjoying it.
That was OUTSTANDING! I could hear the vocals in my head as she played!
Oh, my! Thank you, Claudia. Beautiful adaptation, magnificently performed.
Of course that was well done, but how do we know if it was a real lady, or a trans? Does it make a difference? Not anymore. I watched to the 4:40 mark, maybe he took his hat off.
Amazing talent and instrument applied to an amazing song. Only the drums and rice shaker? needed to be on repeat.
And now for something completely different!
I’ve got to send this to my sister, the pro woodwinds jazz musician. She appreciates fine works and denounces rap as not music. LOL
Nice! But that thing must be a real bitch to tune.
That reminds me of the old “Sledgehammer” episode with the Japanese Elvis impersonator, “I can do Elvis more efficiently.”

Joking aside, quite mesmerizing performance, I’ll not begrudge the Chinese rendition, just so long as they don’t claim ownership.
Wow! What talent.
I got sucked down a rabbit hole, listening to other videos like this.
Lately I have been branching out and listening to musical styles I don’t tend to typically gravitate to.
That led me to listening to people like Tom Macdonald and others he has worked with.
Yesterday I had a recommended video by Dan Vas. His style is Metal, and I don’t normally listen to that style, but he does a rendition of Amazing Grace that is, well, amazing.
oops! Dan Vasc
Years back, I got interested in the hammered dulcimer. It sounds very similar to this. It is a musical instrument mentioned in the bible. I did some research and bought the materials, mostly rock maple, to build one. I acquired the hardware from a specialty shop in Voorheesville, NY. I decided to build one that has 128 strings that interlace each other. It was quite a challenge. I put a lot of time and effort into it because it was something I really wanted to accomplish. I completed it and it turned out sounding beautiful. I can’t play the darn thing but the satisfaction of building it was worth it. It resides in my attic, although I plan to get it down, restring it and learn a tune or two. To hear a fantastic tune on one, watch the closing ceremony of the 68 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY.

OOps! Make that the 1980 Winter Olympics!
I was always fascinated by Chinese music, instruments and skill sets to harness them. In this regard they have my respect.
