I hear “college student” today and I immediately chuckle. I can’t think of a more idiotic collective of morons. It’s beyond parody.

I agree, let’s make college “free,” because it is WORTHLESS.

    “Just curious, what exactly should the head of the University do about a dude in a pick-up screaming something someone thought was racist? Ban pick-ups?”

    And the first answer was:

  3. This is extremely disconcerting to the students who take college seriously – the ones who worked their butts off in high school for academic scholarships to universities while working maximum time in after school and summer jobs.

    But in this time, most can’t. Humbly I have much to learn.
    But you know what happens when few know how to do anything? It communizes. Why. The torch of “how to” wasn’t passed. It may be the torch was there but was rejected. Or the torch wasn’t there at all.

    Face it, being young and dumb is part of life. Not everyone participates in it, but a sizable group always does.
    Consider what many going thru the late 60’s ended up accomplishing. Some of them are the richest people on earth.
    Let them be stupid, at least they are not provoking the National Guard to shoot them.
    The real losers are the morons that reach 30 and still want to be young and dumb. We call them “Progressives”.
    Let the kids be fools and focus on slapping some sense into the dopes that didn’t grow up.

  17. Yes, at who’s expense were the riots of the late 60’s?
    Then, as now they incited blacks to riot and Watts and other places burned. Many were killed, and thousands more injured. Businesses were burned to the ground and police were attacked and killed. Police stations were bombed.
    This was not ancient history, it occurred in my lifetime.
    Educate yourself and your eyes will open.

  19. I’m a college student, having gone back after military service. I’m the old guy in class. These kids are a lost cause. They’ll never get anywhere because they haven’t the ability to figure out the concept of ‘work ethic’. I routinely have kids try to negotiate what questions will be on exams, grade curves, extra credit, extended deadlines. It’s hard to not laugh at them in class because that shit doesn’t fly at work. ‘Oh, you want an extension for that proposal that’s due at 6? Sure thing, no problem’-Said no boss ever. I hope that one day one of my former classmates applies to my company and I get to interview him/her. I hear the tears of entitled college students are the absolute tastiest…

  21. I too have been a “mature” student. I’ve watched college students right in my classes, from the early ’60s to the 2008. That is quite a span of time and I’ve seen a lot of variety. Slackers and takers became prevalent in the last 30 years or so.

    My whole point is there ARE a lot of serious students in colleges, and they are being deprived of a good college experience by those who fantasize about being relevant to causes to being relevant to non-causes, and all they do is disrupt.

    It’s quite insulting to suggest that SS is a handout. It is NOT, we paid in and paid in lots of money. I used to lament that we could have housed my mother and probably 4 other oldsters comfortably on what we paid in to SS.

One of the worst things is that the students that are actually trying to get a sound education in a valid field of studies (such as STEM fields) face an uncertain employment future at best because the political class wants to import cheap substitutes (H1-B visas) to take their slots in the job market.

    It is the classless, self-centered, spoiled, dim witted, disrespectful idiots like these shown in the video that will become permanently entrenched, mendacious, tyrannical government bureaucrats (they won’t be employable in the real world) that will see it as their anointed prerogative to determine how the rest of us live and / or die ……….. unless we do something drastic about it very soon.

  31. That series of videos at the link was quite disturbing. I had hoped that the university president would tell them to pound sand. But as the article noted, the savages got their first scalp and it will be a long time before their thirst for personal destruction is satiated. I get the feeling that even though they say they want to destroy the system, they haven’t even considered what “the system” might be replaced with.

    I don’t see much future in running off all the present and future administrators that will want no part of such lunacy. Hopefully it will result in many of these “institutions of higher learning” going bankrupt and there will be nowhere left for the brats to be subjected to such worthless indoctrination into the leftist cabal. A full reset to restore sanity.

  33. I don’t feel sorry for the serious students. They can and will get on with it. The silent majority includes young people too.

    Reminds me of my school days when kids were acting out like morons. They’d say c’mon. c’mon we’re gonna……… Serious students said nah, I got a statistics test, I gotta study, I got homework, I gotta work on my project… or the best one – I gotta write a letter to my mom, it’s her birthday.

    There was a college in Missouri that had this fabulous football player named Tyrone Beatley. He was the best the coach had seen in years. Tough, strong, fast; he could outrun a leopard.
    One problem. He was stupid. He couldn’t read or write or do math. So the principal at the college informed the coach that he had no choice but to dismiss Beatley

    You’ll ruin our football program said the coach to the college president.

    I have no choice coach, said the president. The kid has no business in college. He can barely write his name.

    The coach rallied the football team, who in turn rallied the whole student body, and, joined by the faculty they held a huge protest.

    We want Tyrone, We want Tyrone, they shouted.

    The president addressed them. He said;

    Tell you what. I’ll ask Tyrone one question tomorrow night in the auditorium. if he answers correctly, he stays, if he answers incorrectly he will be dismissed. Is that fair? They students agreed it was fair.

    The following night the auditorium was packed to the brim.

    Tyrone was on the stage with the president.

    The president said what is 3 times 7 Tyrone?

    Tyrone, was nervous, the students were silent.

    3 times 7 repeated Tyrone.

    Yes said the president

    Tyrone hesitated for a moment and blurted out, why 3 times 7 be 21.

    The president said. 21 is that your final answer?

    Tyrone said yes Sir that my final answer.

    GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE< roared the entire student body.

  36. Yes, they can and will get on with it however the serious students are being gypped of a nominal semblance of peace and security. That p*$$es me off. Look at the harassment in the cafeterias, on the streets.

    The people who didn’t want any part of the vandalism in Ferguson were still harassed and their property and businesses ruined. The troublemakers at Mizzou have taken their marching orders and stated they were inspired by BLM. The serious students are living with that apprehension.

Yes, University of Missouri – the university where a minority of non-STEM majors forced the president to resign, the place that is relatively close to Ferguson, the place that is located in a state where a governor caves to the Black Grievance Industry and the DOJ and Al Sharpton, and the like, the university that is scared of BLM, otherwise known as an excellent engineering university.
