All cops should just find a new career, especially if there is even a 1% chance you might have any dealings with a black person because if you use force to arrest them, if you’re forced to protect yourself or a victim, chances are you’re going to prison. Actually even if you don’t protect a victim in the least your career is over and you’re still likely to go to prison.

Unarmed blacks killed by cops last year, which is defined as going after a cop’s gun or fleeing in a stolen car with a loaded gun in the seat next to you was 0.2% of all black homicides last year.
Blacks are killing blacks, not white people and not cops. Fix your crime problem in black communities and you could start doing that by forcing parents(not just black parents) to be responsible for their kids. If your teen is out committing crimes, then your kid is going into juvie or state custody and you’re either going to jail or losing all public benefits for life. No government check, no food stamps, no free or reduced housing, etc.
The only way you’re ever going to force parents to actually parent their kids is to make parents suffer the consequences of not parenting their kids.

you get the idea. There’s a whole HOST of reasons why a taser wasn’t an option in this situation, not the least that the guy had only a second to sort out what was going on before a rino charged past him, VERY obviously thirsting for another girl’s throat.
He had NO way of knowing that was a 15 year old…and it DIDN’T MATTER ANYWAY. a 15 year old with a knife can kill you just as dead as a 50 year old with a knife, maybe easier because they’re stronger, quicker, harder to take down, and have WAY less ability or interest in thinking about the future, and NO moral grounding whatsoever, at least not from the schools.
…I’ve had to disarm people when I was on the life squad because the situation didn’t always lend itself to everyone being nicely sorted and vetted by the cops, espeically in load-and-go fights between packs of cranky 14 year olds in public entertainment venues where your priority was to get the injured away from each other after very basic ABC assessment, THEN figure out where the entry and exit wounds are as you head to the hospital and away from the mob.
One of them was, in fact, a 14 year old, who had a pen knife somewhere and swung it at me for God knows what reason, maybe that our blue shirt uniform with the shoulder rockers and badge looked policelike to him (had that problem more than once, much less when wearing jumpsuits because cops don’t wear them and they don’t have a badge on them). He didn’t have a great position, was wounded, and I had some training to that effect, I was young enough to still have reflexes and adreniline, plus God watched over fools like me for some reason, so I was able to slap it away.
Still, I was lucky.
Had I been not facing him or reaching over him to adjust the oxygen on the action wall or get something out of the overhead bin above the cot station, that 14 year old could easily have gutted me like a fish.
And it was just me and him, I didn’t have 20 other screaming, fighting people there to distract me. Plus he was mostly strapped down.
A cop would NOT have any of these advantages.
The cop did what he was paid, trained, and hired to do. He protected the life of a person facing deadly force with measured force. No mag dump, no spray and pray, no extra shots, just enough to stop the attack.
Had he NOT done so and the other girl HAD been killed, he STILL would have been vilified for NOT PROTECTING A BLACK LIFE.
…and then STILL had to shoot the first girl because it’s REALLY unlikely she would have dropped the shit and been a perfect little lady afterwards…
