The Ferguson Effect Experiment – IOTW Report

The Ferguson Effect Experiment

Let’s see what happens when police curtail their efforts in high crime districts of the cities because there have been complaints.

Protesters lock arms as they chant towards police officers during another night of demonstrating in Ferguson, Missouri August 11, 2015. A state of emergency that was declared on Monday for the Ferguson area was still in effect on Tuesday. You’d think even a simple minded leftist would have figured out murder rates would jump, but no, there’s Obama warning people not to “cherry pick” the data or rely on anecdotes.

He’d rather all those inner city murders get drowned out by the rest of the country where the police are allowed to continue their normal law enforcement duties.

We have seen the same thing in our own city and the police administration blames it on heroin trafficking. Comparing the shootings (woundings and fatalities) so far this year to the same five month period for the past ten years is unbelievable. One police commander saw the graphs and commented that we’re going to run out of ink this year.
