Takes some thought, but I figured it out. Well I didn’t watch, but here goes.
2 lions go over, 1 brings the boat back. So LL ~~~ WWWL, then L ~~~ WWWLL
2 lions go over, 1 brings the boat back. So LLL ~~~ WWW, then LL ~~~ WWWL
2 wildebeest go over, a lion and a wildebeest go back. So LLWW ~~~ LW, then LW ~~~ WWLL
2 wildebeest go over, the remaining lion on the far side brings the boat back. So WWWL ~~~ LL, then WWW ~~~ LLL
Then the lions do the rest of the boating.

Yeah, it’s a little counter intuitive to have to send a lion back after he’s made it ashore, but it’s the only why it works.
I hate puzzles like that.
No lion, that’s a beestly puzzle.
Then they were all shot by poachers.
