  1. That probably means that many of them will necessarily lose their financial means.

Seriously, how many MAGA citizens are employed by wokesters? And how many of the woke would be homeless or institutionalized if not for the philanthropy of the industrious?

Did any farmer/rancher/trucker ever blow off their pre-dawn work because they were too busy dying their hair blue or sleep in sulking because no one is willing to learn their new pronouns??

  2. I am generally forbidden from discussing politics at family gatherings because I might (o.k., will) offend a couple of snowflakes in my family. But many of my relatives and I don’t “discuss” politics – we just ask questions designed to elicit the reasons for some of their beliefs. When it comes to obviously false facts they use to support their positions, we ask for source material. And we challenge premises used to support their positions. It’s not magic; it’s basic debate procedure and Socratic dialogue.

Frequently, we on the conservative end of the spectrum learn something – that’s why the First Amendment and actual debate is so necessary. Also frequently, those on the liberal end of the spectrum also learn something. But there are a couple of friends and family that just don’t want their world view challenged no matter what – they are soon excluded from any discussion or debate because they bring nothing to the table but noise. These are the ones that are the most pissed off when politics come up and the ones most likely to make family gatherings unpleasant.

  3. Among the myriad of sobbing videos posted in the last few days there was one by a highly distraught wench who was berating the “orange f-ing pumpkin” for costing her the most important person in her life: her father… presumably because he voted for Trump. Not sure whether to feel sorry for her dad or congratulate him on his good luck.

  4. Sunny Hostin said : ” …Trump is deeply flawed in character, deeply flawed in morality.” The Dipshits on the View always ignore that Kamala had an ongoing open relationship with a married man, a mistress to start her career. No comments about character & morality there.

  5. Why do you think that I call it the Spew. It’s because they keep spewing bullshit and lies on anything good and expecting us to kowtow to their idiocy. NOT! I have never watched the Spew and never will because they hate everybody and everything that doesn’t believe their bs.

  6. geoff – A few years back here in Cleveland we had a Conservative radio host spar with a rather outspoken Liberal radio host on a show they called the Spew. It was pretty good actually until the Liberal quit… too tough to argue with common sense.

  7. My take on all this is that we never really wanted to unite the country, what we really wanted was to rid ourselves of the shit. It wasn’t but only a few days ago that many of us were unsure if we were part of the majority in this country or not. Now we know.

  8. Human nature will bring our own destruction. Too many never learn, never seek truth or beauty, never long to end the suffering. It’s too easy, in these times of plenty, to just hate.

What has been will be again,
    what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.

  9. “….shun their own relatives if they voted for President Trump.”
    Ahhhh….the peace and quiet.
Would also save on Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas gifts. (not that Libtards believe in Christ or Christmas, but they expect the gifts anyway)

  10. Hey, I have no problem with them separating themselves from friends and family who voted for Trump.
I’m not a hypocrite and have done the same to the majority of libs who were ever in my life.

I’m old and life is too short to put up with idiots, so I choose not to.

  11. They are kinda slow on the uptake. I advised the bastards to stay away if they don’t want to have their precious feelings hurt ten years ago. They don’t want to hear the truth because they can’t handle the truth.

I still remember reading, over 20 years ago, that Stonewall Jackson’s close relationship with his sister was destroyed because she was a Unionist and could not abide his fighting for the Confederacy. I thought that was so profoundly sad and could not conceive of a family letting politics and allegiances divide them. Now, I think I get it.

We have a mixed extended family, as far as politics and some other demographics go. I saw a post from a close lesbian lib relative, who put up a screenshot –from her therapist– stating that members of your family who aren’t checking on you during this trauma “aren’t your people.” She and her wife are coming for Thanksgiving… It doesn’t so much make me want to ‘unfriend’ her, as it makes me realize I can’t trust her to follow through on anything she says or posts. Sad. But good to know. Also, I don’t recall anyone checking on us four years ago…
