  1. When men were men and boys were boys.

Thank you to the greatest generation, we would have never won the war without you. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  2. When I first started st the Gummint, one of my supervisors was Ken McGill, a veteran of DDay. He said he saw 20,000 American bodies laid out on the beach after the fighting had moved in land.

  3. I’m moved to tears. Lest we forget – it’s too easy to forget – we need to be reminded, and too many just plain need to be taught

God, I fear for our country.

  4. I have talked to men who were there and can’t imagine the courage it took to step off one of those boats that day – especially knowing that certain death awaited.

We are forever in their honor at knowing the sacrifice required to participate without coercion that most willingly and gave all.

Doubt that young people today would do it without their iphones!

  5. Grandpa Dieppe and Juno survived,Great Uncle K.I.A. Juno by mortar. Brave men,Gramps rarely spoke of it but always reunited with the boys until his death.

  6. Mom has a five minute memory but we looked at Gramps letters home and watched some docs on dieppe and Juno last night and the memories of her dad at war flooded back,She often does not know who I am other than the man who cares for her but she remembers that time oh so long ago.Happy and sad at the same time when she remembers.

  7. God Bless all the brave men who fought in all of our wars to protect our freedoms. I am disgusted by the America haters and the ignorant people who have no idea how fragile our freedoms are and who they have to thank for them. I look around at the men today and wonder what percentage would be willing or able to defend our country against foreign enemies. Plus, we have plenty of domestic enemies who would gladly aid the foreign enemies. God help us.

  8. So humbling to hear these men. I can’t imagine the burden each and everyone of these true Patriots had to carry throughout their whole lives. That includes all of our soldiers of war. I can’t comprehend what they have gone through. I have feelings of guilt…but it is soon replaced with being grateful for our service men and women. I love this Country.

  9. For some reason I have always felt that WW2 was the war I was born for, but I came along too late. IMHO it’s a lot easier to put your life on the line when you know you have the whole nation behind you, doing everything possible to achieve victory.

Unlike some other wars I could name.

All my admiration and respect to the members of The Greatest Generation.

    (Hand salute)
