  1. Wonderful idea! It makes me think about covering one large pie with little pieces of a variety of “topping” pies – pepperoni, sausage, mushies and onions, BACON, tomato and basil, etc. Great potential here, as long as you’ve got all the ingredients handy.

  2. Adding to the bread does not make it better. Take away the extra bread and what do you have?

A better pizza than the one in the photo.

Best Pizza I ever had? Pantera’s Back in the mid 80s they sold a 7 1/2 pound pizza. One regular large crust with a load of toppings.

It fed a party or large family. If sliced into 12, no adult needed to eat a second slice. $18.75 in 1984 dollars.

  3. You couldn’t make my current favorite pizza–chicken parm–if you had mini pizzas taking up the space for the chicken cutlets. I think I’ve gotta take a ride to Scotto’s and get me a slice or three.

  4. Over a decade ago (before Europe went completely insane) I was visiting a friend in Brussels. One night she ordered pizza delivered. It was a “Four Seasons” pizza that was divided into fourths with different toppings. One of the toppings was shrimp, as I recall. It remains one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Wish I could remember what the other toppings were.

Oh, and I agree, Mr. M. Joan sounds like no fun at all.

  5. Fat Bob’s Pizza not to be confused with fathead non-pizza eaters.
Fat Bob’s seafood and the meat lovers pizzas are the best. Fat Bob as in Harley’s not an overweight Bob.

  6. “BTW, whatever happened to Godfathers Pizza?”….Wrong taste profile for the time and they never upgraded their decor. Built for the 70s and the 80s passed them by. Although I hear they are still somewhat of a player in the plains states.
