Trump Twitter lawsuit ‘winner’ officially let go from Vanderbilt U. Medical Center

College Fix: One of the plaintiffs in the President Trump Twitter “block” case has been let go from his gig at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Eugene Gu had been on paid leave since posting a picture on Twitter of himself kneeling with a raised fist — in protest against “white supremacy” — and the mother of a patient under his care had complained.

According to The (Duke) Chronicle, the VUMC cited “performance issues” in its decision not renew Gu’s contract.

A letter to Gu from VUMC General Counsel Michael Regier cites his “lack of sufficient improvement in performance and conduct in key areas” and notes “the most ‘significant areas of concern were ‘patient care, communication, and medical knowledge.’” more here

  1. He did the kneeling photo AT WORK. And the patient saw it. Come on, if I were a white person, or a mixed white person, I wouldn’t feel comfortable with someone like that. Why would a black person, either? Maybe doc thinks you’re not ‘black enough’? FTS. He’s everything he’s accusing white people of being X1000.

  2. Gu says he’s been blackballed and the only way he can complete his residency is in some place like Puerto Rico.

    I’d say that’s a safe bet.

  3. Dang, this one is a dumbell. Puerto Rico does deserve better. I do hear that there are many places in remote areas where someone like him would be of value. I’ll chip in for airdrop.

  4. He’s screwed. Usually when someone is shitcanned the employer say they’ve left to pursue other opportunities. To publish the reasons why his contract wasn’t renewed and to include reasons including “the most ‘significant areas of concern were ‘patient care, communication, and medical knowledge.” as well as his history of tweets screws him going forward. The best he’ll get now is as a GP at some community clinic.
