Tulsi Gabbard Triggers Leftists With Excellent Suggestion for Florida on Parental Rights Law

As we previously reported, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the Florida “Parental Rights in Education” bill into law last Monday as The Usual Suspects on the left vowed to fight it in court and as “woke” Disney pledged to lend their support in various ways including via funding to try and get the law overturned.

Though the law has been dubbed by critics as the “don’t say gay” law, nowhere in the text of it does the word “gay” even appear, much less is it written that teachers are banned from saying “gay.” To reiterate points we’ve already made, here’s what the law actually mandates as far as instruction on sensitive sexual matters goes:

“Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”

You’d think making sure teachers didn’t overstep their bounds in how they approach these topics in the classroom with young children wouldn’t be considered “controversial” at all, but the radical left being who they are have portrayed the “issue” that way in a campaign that so far has failed to convince even a majority of their own voters, who along with conservatives also support the measure.

And speaking to that point, former Congresswoman and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard took to the Twitter machine earlier to not only express her support for the law but to also to note her surprise that the limiting of the instruction/discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity topics only applied to grades K-3. more here

  1. Leftists will say, “Parents aren’t teaching sex ed to their kids” when you say it isn’t the schools’ job.
I say, too bad. It’s still not your jib. Your job is academics. Period.
Parents with kids in school need to come to the realization their kids will eventually be out of school so who cares if the people in them like you or think you’re the biggest biotch on earth.
Parents and taxpayers are the bosses. The customers so to speak.
If the Repubs had any spine they’d shut down DOEd and let the money follow the students.

  2. I think many saw the future back in what the 80’s they started doing sex-ed. It grows from there as govt and progressives always does. Parents should’ve shut it down back then

  3. When I was 12 (1972) they separated the boys and girls, with the football coach talking to the boys and the school nurse talking to the boys. It was a one hour lecture with slides showing anatomy with all the parts labelled, and a basic description of the reproductive process. That’s it. I learned what I needed to, as the existence of my five grown children proves.

  4. The + in lgbtq+ is pedophiles. All the big chickenhawks agree, the younger you break ‘em the better the conversion rate. At this point putting your kids in school is a form of child sexual abuse.

  5. C’mon.
    Public “education” is INDOCTRINATION!
    Nothing more; nothing less.
AND HAS BEEN for more than 50 years!
Everybody knows it, but like the turd in the punch bowl, we try to get the punch without disturbing the turd.
We believe that we can re-enforce our belief system, religiosity, morals, what have you, after they come home from the indoctrination center but we discover that we have an alienated, hostile, angry, ignorant, horny, dullard on our hands who can barely express himself.

Public school staffing is now from three quarters “teachers” and one quarter “administrators” to half “teachers” and half “administrators” depending on the district – an awful lot of chaff with very little wheat. Nurses, Guidance Counselors, Grief Counselors, Principals, Vice Principals, Disciplinarians, Janitors, Guards, Dieticians, Sex Counselors, Coaching Staff, Secretaries, &c. – people who have absolutely NOTHING to contribute to education consume a great deal of the budgets.

You write that like mom’s on the public dime think it’s a bad thing.

  7. The LGBTQ community used to be excluded from public life, and discriminated against because of their sexual preferences. Now they are demonstrating WHY they were. And should be again.

  8. Instead of eliminating LGBT indoctrination in public schools we need to eliminate public schools, at the very least we need to eliminate all federal funding of education.

    proposal to amend constitution

Congress shall not fund, direct, impose or mandate any public education policy, nor shall congress bribe or coerce any state into accepting such policy.

Except as a benefit of employment with the federal government or as a benefit for military service Congress shall not fund or guarantee any funds to educate any individual.
