Jeb! made a splash with the media yesterday when he handed a 13-year-old boy in New Hampshire a toy turtle.

Apparently, the presidential candidate keeps the small tokens in his pocket to randomly give away out to the children of the Granite State as a reminder that “slow and steady wins the race.”

  3. Reminds me of a tactical pistol course I went thru once. The instructor was an ex Marine and tells the class that the Marines teach “slow is smooth, smooth is fast”. Then he tells the class “sometimes slow is just Fing slow”. That’s Jeb. Just Fing slow.

    Well, that depends on what kind of race it is, doesn’t it? In an auto rally, steady is essential, and depending on the leg sometimes slow works best. But in a race to get to a safe defensible position in a fire fight, you’d best move like hell when you’re in the open and stop dead when you reach cover.

    So, is a presidential campaign nice and controlled and defined like a rally? No. campaign season, especially in recent memory, is not that much different from a fire fight where every candidate is shooting at every other candidate.

    Conclusion? Chebbie is full of crap.
    But that’s been apparent for a very long time.
