Unbelievable: A Reporter Asks Trump Why He Hasn’t Closed All Grocery Stores

Redstate:

The press sure has changed its tune.

Not long ago, they were accusing the President of xenophobia and racism over his China travel ban.

Now, they’ve head-scratchingly flipped.

Presently, it seems the media’s dogmatically committed to the notion that Trump failed to do enough early on.

And to hear them tell it, he’s still coming up short.

Along the lines of insufficient action, during the Commander-in-Chief’s coronavirus briefing Sunday, a reporter appeared to try and sock it to him.

Here’s what the guy asked:

“Obviously, we know anyone can spread the disease. Right? Unwittingly. So, why even have a few businesses open? Why not just shut everything down?”

  1. I could not figure out which reporter it was.

T-shirts and memes should be made of this asshole so that the stupidest question of 2020 will never be forgotten.

What was the reporters name? I need to associate a face stupider than “Jim Accosted”

  2. If I were president I would have said, “Well for now I am ordering the media closed. Your hot air is a factor in spreading the disease. Oh, despite what your mamma tells you, you are not essential Go home and hide under your bed; I’ll let you know when it is safe to come out.”

  3. Had I been Trump, I would have looked at this guy with an incredulous expression and asked back, “So instead of people dying of the Chinese Virus you would rather we STARVE the entire country to death?! Is that what you’re asking?”

Sure, we could do that. No more grocery stores. While we’re at it, no more hospitals, firefighters, cops, reporters, etc. How long should this continue? Weeks or months?

I wonder what they’d be crying about then?

  5. Cuz he doesn’t have the authority?
Cuz Wuhan Flu is a hoax?
    Cuz it’s a stupid notion?
    Cuz people like to eat?

Even when the economy recovers, we have lost the idea of popular sovereignty.
We have sold our patrimony to a chinese virus scare.
Formerly rational people are terrified of chimeras, fleeting shadows, and mists.

  6. By my count, between the President’s request to self-quarantine, our Mayor’s orders and our Governor’s incremental orders, it has sparked at least four rounds of panic buying. Should we have just let everybody starve after the first one?

We have 9 million people filing for unemployment for 2 weeks this month, which the media then blames the President for damaging the economy.

Mandatory work stoppages for much of the country.

The media accused Trump of giving people “false hope” because of their fake models that have rivaled climate change predictions for how wrong they have been. If they predicted 200,000 dead and we end up with 15,000-20,000 using a very loose definition for a coronavirus death, this is beyond horseshoes and hand grenades territory by magnitudes.

  7. It’s so everyone has to order from Amazon. He has stock in the company. By the way who the hell does Amazon think they are? Who is Amazon to say what’s essential?

Probably about how they’re being hunted down.
