Uvalde school police chief placed on administrative leave as investigation continues

JTN:

Uvalde School District Police Chief Pete Arredondo was placed on administrative leave Wednesday, amid an investigation into law enforcement response to the mass shooting.

“From the beginning of this horrible event, I shared that the district would wait until the investigation was complete before making personnel decisions,” Uvalde Superintendent Hal Harrell wrote in a press release that the Associated Press obtained.

An investigation is ongoing into the law enforcement response to the elementary school shooting that left 21 dead, including 19 children.

At a state Senate hearing earlier this week, Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw testified that officers could have stopped the gunman three minutes into the massacre, which ended up lasting for more than an hour.  more

  1. “Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw testified that officers could have stopped the gunman three minutes into the massacre”

But they didn’t, because they were either cowards or retards or because someone needed this event to happen.

  2. So, 21 die because of police incompetence and the result is a paid vacation for the boss until this all blows over? The conspiracy theorists are beginning to sound like clairvoyants.

  3. Is anyone asking why a tiny school district needs its own police department? And why that department (total of 4 cops) needs a chief? What was this moron’s salary? What experience and training did he have?

  4. “Uvalde school police chief placed on administrative leave”

…he SHOULD be placed in stocks and flayed alive as a warning to others.

After torturing the name of the Democrat who gave him his orders, that is.

I heard the House moved to take more rights from us, and the Senate agreed to same.

So no matter what happens to this guy, the Democrats got what they wanted.

  5. All things considered, the chief did a good job. He managed to forcibly restrain people who actually wanted to save some childrens’ lives, and the chalk lines around the bodies were clear and well defined. A typical Democrat solution to a problem.

  6. “An investigation is ongoing into the law enforcement response…”

I’m more interested in which federal, State and local agencies were involved in planning this staged event.

  7. You all know I’m a huge LEO supporter but this POS should have been fired the next day

Something doesn’t smell right about any of this. Almost like it was set up and the cowardly Chief had his marching orders not to respond.

  8. Put a weak, pathetic, cowardly man into a position of power, he will lead like a weak, pathetic, cowardly man.
Shame on all those who obeyed his immoral and unjust order.
The fact that none of them have suicided themselves over this, tells me all I need to know.
