Virginia Gun Confiscation Bill Pulled as Huge Pro-Gun Crowd Shows Up at Legislature To Protest

Western Journal:

Democrats might wield power in the Old Dominion, but gun rights backers haven’t given up the fight.

As lawmakers met Monday to consider a slew of gun control bills, they were greeted by “thousands” of Second Amendment supporters determined to voice their opposition, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

Even in the face of that kind of popular discontent, four measures moved forward in the state’s Senate Judiciary Committee, thanks to a Democratic majority, though some were in slightly weakened form, The Free Beacon reported.

But one bill, known as SB 16, a controversial measure that would have “effectively” allowed authorities to confiscate weapons that violate it, was withdrawn entirely, The Free Beacon reported.

It was the potential of people power on full display. read more

  1. Nice try democRATs, but hey, thank you soooo much for reminding all of us what traitorous, Constitution-stomping totalitarians you really are hiding behind your feel-good, Liberal hypocrisy! We’ll send you a large tube of KY in November!

  2. …seriously, this was just a test run to see what they could OPENLY get away with. It will be pinned to the back of a “Helping Feed Crippled Homeless Orphaned Minority Infant Victims Of White Supremacy” bill in a couple of weeks without any fanfare and brought to the floor for a vote with only 5 minutes allowed to read and debate it beforehand.
Since no one wants to be on record opposing “Helping Feed Crippled Homeless Orphaned Minority Infant Victims Of White Supremacy”, it will pass by acclimation, and then they’ll start going after everyone they recorded at the rallies, especially everyone who got a 30 round mag from the NRA, singly and quietly, coordinating with their media arm to keep it quiet…

…No, they’re not done. They’re just done being HONEST.

  4. …and they’re going to use some form of it, sooner or later, that will have horrible penalties BUT all will be forgiven and you’ll be “grandfathered” if only you register it with them, they won’t come for it later, honest, so go ahead and put your hand up so they know to give you your Govenment permission slip, you’ll be fine, you can trust them, after all, it’s for the children, or something…/s

  6. …and they WILL get a “red-flag” through, because who wants a crazy person to have a gun? Constitution be damned, it’s just “common sense gun control”, nicht wahr?

…of course, THEY get to define what “crazy” is, the same folks who say YOU’RE crazy if you don’t immediately consent to allowing your 3 year old son’s dick to be cut off because he put his foot in your wife’s shoe once, and THOSE people will rule on YOUR sanity.

    …I sense no danger here…/s

  7. …remember too, that obviously unpopular moves like this may only be the magicians hand. What’s he doing under the table while you’re attention is on that big white glove that he’s waving around because he WANTS you to see it?

…hey, VA, your Govenment doing anything with vote fraud? Gerrymandering? Bringing in illegal voters? Setting the table for a no Donald Trump November with a SUPER majority in both houses? Seen anything about THAT?

    …yeah, that’s what I thought…

  8. Without looking, I’m going to guess that this massive crowd has received no acknowledgement in the media and will later he described as “dozens of people” if mentioned at all.

But it had to spook the Dems, like the Falun Gong spooked the Chicoms in 1999 on Fuyou Street with a sudden crowd of 10,000 people. Remember how everybody was supposed to hate the Falun Gong while we kissed Chicom ass for twenty years?

Where is Falun Gong now? If you read the Epoch Times, you’re reading Falun Gong. They’ve come a long way from that crowd in Fuyou Street. Let’s see where this crowd in the streets of Richmond goes.

  13. You see? Uncle Ernie did all those interviews… and editorials… and videos… all about how little boys need to be catamites. And when he was live streaming from the basement, with little Timmy (whose pant were pulled down around his ankles… oddly, with a potato sack over his head) we went over there, after making an appointment, of course, and said “How very disappointed, we were.” Ernie said we should “Join in the fun.” We said “No. Thank you.” So, when Ernie said “Well, alrighty, then,” we high-fived ourselves, threw all the money we had in our wallets down the stairs, and left them there. Both of them. All of them. What could possibly go wrong? We am such heroes!
