Washington Woman who bragged on police’s Facebook page about ‘getting away’; gets arrested

FOX: A Washington state woman who “trolled” a police department’s Facebook page about “getting away” from the long arm of the law is now behind bars, cops said.

Kayla Irizzary, 19, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, about two weeks after her first encounter with Moses Lake police officers. Irizzary was a passenger in a vehicle when cops conducted a traffic stop.

The driver, Giovanni Powell, 27, was arrested for driving while suspended, but police officers let Irizzary go because they had no legal reason to detain her. Officers searched the vehicle and found the 19-year-old’s ID along with a pistol, heroin and her paperwork from the last time she was released from jail. Irizzary is a convicted felon, making it illegal for her to possess a firearm.

Irizzary, however, seemed to get a little too excited about “thwarting” police and went on the department’s Facebook page to brag about it.

  1. Just another Low Information Voter. I’m surprised the Democrats have not passed a law that when you are booked as a criminal you are automatically registered to vote.

  2. I wish I could find a way to monetize a service to spend eight hours a day looking for people like this on social media and collecting a fee for turning them over to law enforcement. It would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

  3. @Chester Weaver — LOL! Uh, not quite 🙂

I was a headhunter for most of my adult life. If I can find a vanguard scientist who specializes in onocological lasers — neodymium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet lasers — I can find stupid criminals on the internet. Surprisingly, most of us are only about two degrees separated from someone who probably belongs in jail.

Twain plagiarized a bit, I’d say. Or he was inspired by what he read?

    Proverbs 17:28
Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues.
