Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, has announced that they will fund ‘100 percent’ of financial aid packages for students that are in the country illegally.
Although international students are expected to pay full tuition, undocumented undergraduate students at Emory will have “100% of demonstrated financial need” covered by the university.
“Emory meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for undergraduate Undocumented Students (with or without DACA) who are admitted as first-year, first-degree-seeking students, and who graduated from a U.S. High school through a combination of grants and scholarships, institutional work study (DACA students only), and institutional loans. Undocumented Students without DACA status may receive an institutional loan in place of the typical work study award,” the university’s website states.
Speaking to The College Fix, Megan McRainey, a spokeswoman for Emory, claimed that providing full financial aid relief to undocumented students reflects the university’s commitment to welcoming students from diverse backgrounds.

Emory started out in the 1830’s as a Methodist college and held a good, solid reputation in the South until the 1970’s or so when the infiltration of leftists got to a tipping point. The founder of Coca-Cola gave them a large land grant near Atlanta in the early 1900’s and the company later gave them a huge sum of money around 1980.
Somewhere down the line the people running Emory University figured out how to play the political game and they donated several acres of prime land to the federal govt. for the construction of the CDC headquarters. Like you said Brad, they started pulling in loads of grant money including big checks from leftist groups like the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation among others. They like to tout a “strong partnership” with the NIH (which is over the CDC) and I’m sure they get loads of taxpayer cash for “research”.
About 20 years ago or so, out of the blue Emory started opening up doctor’s offices all over the north side of Atlanta and followed that up by building a new hospital in Snellville, GA. Since then, they have taken over several hospitals and are now the largest healthcare provider in GA. From my experience, they are a lousy healthcare provider that doesn’t mind ripping people off the least bit. The university doesn’t have such a great reputation these days either with locals that know anything about how it operates.
Pikers. They’re only talking about “diversity” of the student population. How about faculty and admin “diversity”? And I don’t hear anyone pointing out that to be really, really “diverse” you need some Rednecks, and Cajuns, and conjoined twins, and people in persistent vegetative states, and paranoid schizophrenics, and peeping toms, and public masturbaters, politicians convicted of graft, and, and, and…well, the list turns out to be pretty long. These people have no vision!

Taxpayer funding needs to stop subsiding the demise of America. ‘Diversity’ has morphed into narrowing diversity.
