Reader’s Digest version of events:
A man named Glossip was hired to manage an Oklahoma motel. A man named Sneed was part of a light construction crew who stayed behind after the crew finished the job. Glossip gave him room and board in exchange for doing maintenance and clean-up. Glossip pocketed the money budgeted for this by the owner.
Glossip was doing other shady deals. He stole from vending machines and sold motel items and pocketed the money. He was a creep.
The owner, a man named Van Treese did an audit and saw a $6000 shortfall. He was coming to town to see what was what.
At 3 am Van Treese was beaten to death with a baseball bat, but not before he got in a few shots to the murderer. The murderer was Sneed.
Sneed told police that Glossip hired him to kill Van Treese. Sneed was a simpleton, Glossip was “the brains.”
Glossip denied all involvement.
Facts:
Sneed had a large amount of money on him ($1700) that he said Glossip gave him. In total he said Glossip gave him $4000, with $6000 to come. Sneed had no access to that kind of money.
Sneed told police that Glossip said they would get a saw and acid and clean up the murder scene. To keep the maid away he would break the key in the door.
The door had a broken key in it and the maid said Glossip told her the night before to only clean the 2nd floor and not go on the first floor. He never made that request before.
Sneed would have no way of knowing what room Van Treese was in, and he wouldn’t have the key. He also had no motive to kill Van Treese.
Oh, and one other thing. Glossip admitted to helping clean up the room. The room that had the body in it at the time. Why would Glossip help Sneed cover up a crime?
There’s much more, but you really don’t need much more. That’s the thing with murders. They can be hung on someone with just one or two key pieces of irrefutable pieces of logic.
Like OJ.
What are the chances OJ cuts his left knuckle to the bone in Chicago on a broken drinking glass the night before his wife’s killer dripped blood from his left hand and left Bruno Magli shoe impressions in the same size shoe he wears?
What does it say when OJ says he would never own those “ugly ass” shoes, only to have pictures surface of him wearing them?
What are the odds the killer would be wearing expensive Macy’s gloves, the same ones that Nicole bought for OJ on Christmas? What are the odds the killer would lose his left glove at the scene, exposing it to be cut, just like OJ was cut.
What are the odds that a corrupt police, out to frame OJ, would choose to drip blood to the left of the Bruno Maglis, completely guessing that OJ would cut his left knuckle by accident in Chicago?
Why would the police choose to frame OJ (and the framing would have to have been started at the moment they arrived at Bundy) when they had no idea if he was in Hong Kong or California?
It would have been mighty strange, and hard to explain, how OJ would start to look like the killer when he wasn’t in the country. That’s a bold ass move for detectives to take when they have no motive to “get” OJ.
I have no doubt that if OJ was on death row, Sarandon, Asner and Farrell would be saying he was innocent.
The only jury I was ever picked for was a drug trial, federal.
The government, having already convicted the two young white boys for cocaine distribution, it was the 70’s, wanted their Rolex watches, rings, Mom and Dads watches and jewelry, had the folks in there saying their sons gave them gifts.
Was wearing my fireman uniform that day, on duty and went during working hours, you went and came back, none of that “get the day off” stuff.
The first day, I had had enough, the boys had already been convicted, sentenced and imprisoned. Now the Government wanted their jewels, even disposed emperors keep their jewels.
Never went back, the voice said it was settled.
If the boys only knew, they would be telling time today.
Sounds like a nice motel.
Were the names of the perps Glossip and Sneed changed to protect the guilty parties? Those have got to be made up names, right. And as usual Susan Sarandon is still an idiot!
What are the odds that the police would know to plant blood on OJ’s Bronco’s driver side door above the door handle where his knuckles would touch while opening the door with his left hand?
Geezuz, I wonder what her son Tim Robbins would say about his mothers antics.
