What’s happening in Haiti?

Stone Age Herbalist:
A quick thread on what’s happening in Haiti:

Hard to know where to begin, but let’s pick 2019, the year Haiti was supposed to have parliamentary elections.

In 2019 President Jovenel Moïse was in power, after winning the Nov 2016 election, which saw just 21% of the population turn out to vote. The scheduled parliamentary elections for that year were delayed, a frequent occurrence in Haitian politics.

By 2020 this left Moïse governing almost alone, with just a rump legislature of senators. The deputies and even local official’s terms had ended without new elections. Then Moïse was assassinated on July 7th 2021. MORE HERE

  1. My church is still able to send supplies there, but the village they support is quite remote, probably runs the same whether there is a federal government or not.
The annual mission trip has been off for 3 or 4 years, the last one abruptly canceled. Some from other churches were in Haiti and were quickly sent home.

Then re-populate it with inner city ferals from Shit-Congo, Burn-It-More, Lost Angels, and Sham FlameCrisco.

  3. Next thing you know, China will be in Haiti setting up shop and setting things right, while Biden and his FoPo geniuses, as well as the CIA, will be wringing their hands and crying about this totally unexpected occurrence.

  4. GA Native: I was going to say a large American city but them I saw the picture of the police vehicle that was not burning or being smashed (probably because people knew they would be shot dead ina heartbeat) but they so I knew it couldn’t be.

  5. Haiti’s been a cesspool since … uhh … forever.
They threw the French out and it’s been downhill ever since.

    Sort of the Caribbean Wakanda.

  6. It’s likely the corruption is so deep over there that the world doesn’t have the political will to root out the corruption, no matter the cost or the number of executions necessary to accomplish the cleansing. An overwhelming outside military force that hunts and kills gang members is about the only choice. Execute anyone in the government who was corrupt at all. Did you take a small bribe regarding a fuel supply? That’s enough. If you leave it up to Haitians to cleanse the country, all you’ll get is the ruling party executing their opponents under the guise of justice.

  7. So this post is not about some citizens in Haiti stoning bangers, and lighting old tires on fire surrounding the gang bangers and watching them burn alive?
Coming to liberal US cities soon. Just a little bit of time. Oh, and the bangers will be burning citizens here.
Beyond scary these days. We are Haiti.😬
