Red State: We’ve been seeing a lot of reactions to the FBI raid on President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
Conservatives were understandably upset since they care about the rule of law and the politicization of the FBI. Political pundit and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino ripped the action, calling it “third-world bulls**t” and said it was a “clarion call” for everyone to get off their seats and vote the Democrats out of office. Trump family members, Lara and Eric Trump also blasted the raid, with Eric noting that they even cracked open the safe that was in the home, but there was nothing in it. Lara called it a “weaponization” of the FBI.
But now there’s an alarm being raised by the person you might truly think would be the last person to object to a raid on Donald Trump — former N.Y. Gov. Andrew Cuomo — once the man some Democrats proposed to put up against Donald Trump in the race for the presidency before his scandals drove him out of office.
“DOJ must immediately explain the reason for its raid & it must be more than a search for inconsequential archives or it will be viewed as a political tactic and undermine any future credible investigation & legitimacy of January 6 investigations,” Cuomo declared.
Now that’s surprising. When even Cuomo gets it, you know how bad it is. Of course, the Jan. 6 “investigation” had already blown all their credibility with the biased actions that they have taken against Trump. That’s just a political action to try to smear him and prevent him from running again.
It wasn’t just Cuomo, former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang was also concerned about the signal this was sending. MORE

One hallmark of this administration is that they make an unprecedented number of truly incompetent strategy and policy decisions all in the name a foisting an unpopular and destructive ideology upon the US citizens. This latest event is just another example.

That’s a great fear. During Obama’s first term I was talking to a military guy and was asking him about his thoughts if it came to that. A lot have retired or been removed since then, but he was telling me it was the National Guard along with locals based in the red states and some red state guys based in blue states. He said they all knew who had to be taken care of to do what needed to be done, because they all knew who would fire on their own people, although many of them wouldn’t be firing on their own people because they weren’t one of us.
I guess these guys spent a lot of their off time talking and planning.
Now though all bets are off except for possibly the National Guard, but I’m not even sure about them.
My hope is maybe some of those guys who aren’t there anymore came up with a plan for when they were gone.
The left is just afraid the FBI has set precedence for their homes to be raided by a weaponized government agency when the right are in power. No less than they deserve. Especially, the instigators of the Jan 6 hearings. The left can’t stand the thought of such an injustice perpetuated against them.
