I would say that If you watch Late Night TV you would assume that Comedy is Dead, but NO ONE HERE watches that Drivel.

This comedian wasn’t edgy or clever.
I can think of Norman Lear who gave us Archie Bunker and pulled off some of the most amusing lines about Christianity.
For instance,
Meathead: Yeah Arch but Jesus was Jewish
Archie: Only on his Mother’s side.
