Why is George W. Bush Thought of as a Simpleton? – IOTW Report

Why is George W. Bush Thought of as a Simpleton?

Dubya is thought of as a simpleton for one of two reasons:

  1. He never fought back when the leftist media relentlessly painted him as a sluggish thinker.
  2. He’s a sluggish thinker.

The leftist media have been on a furious campaign to paint Trump as a bigot, a sexist, an Islamophobe, an idiot, a madman, a fascist, a Nazi, and a father with questionable parenting skills who also has an autistic child.

These attacks are also coming from the right.

If one considers the democrat-in-hiding Joe Scarborough part of the right, he’s the kind of media presence we can do without.

The scrunched-face Scarborough and the failed face-lifted Mika, together, have been incessantly nasty towards the president on their Morning Joe Show.

With Twitter, and his millions of followers, just inches away from the president, how can one sit idly by and by “Dubya-ed” without punching back?

You can’t. Especially when you’re not sluggish.

I wish Trump wouldn’t punch down, engaging with lightweights like Joe and Mika, but I understand why he does. And as long as he continues dismantling the Obama era and putting in place a conservative apparatus for America to enjoy for future generations, I’ll enjoy the drama. He seems to multitask well.

  1. POTUS needs to keep doing exactly what he’s doing. With a few seconds posting on twitter he has delighted most of his base, and made the media spend tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars. . . highlighting the fact they are assholes. Meanwhile as the enemy obsesses over twitter, he’s quietly undoing the the damage caused in the previous eight years.

This is what the dumbshit W would have called “stategery”.

  2. Trump was an answer to my prayers. When is somebody on our side going to fight back as opposed to going into the apology cringe curl?

He could be more selective in his targets, though
Whatever is said on their show is heard by almost nobody.

Let’s respond to the false claims from democrats about hundreds of thousands dying if Obamacare is repealed.
Guess what? If we implemented the absolute best healthcare system in the world… hundreds of thousands will die every year. It’s the cycle.

  3. And I don’t think Dubya was stupid. He was raised in
The era where bipartisanship was the goal at all costs, passed down from one generation to the next. You must reach across the aisle, or provide a reach around or something.

He just didn’t realize that the most vitriolic critics were deadly enemies and could not be negotiated or compromised with. He needed to kick them in the short
    And curlies like Trump is.

As Andrew Breitbart so presciently put it….
    THIS IS WAR!!

  4. Behold the deceitful and corrupt world we live in!
W played the dumbass, when it suited him. Remember ‘exceeding lowered expectations’? He also misspoke very deliberately, e.g. ‘nuke-ular’ instead of nuclear.

Trump is the first person in public life in a long time willing to show his contempt for the many legions and entire industries of Liars, Manipulators and Frauds. The Media, our Courts, FBI, entire federal Departments. Name something that IS run with integrity these days??

The question we should be shouting daily is, is anybody going to assist our President or not?!

  5. PS I’ll give someone $50 who’ll go to the live taping of Colbert’s monologue (of constant Trump-bashing) and pour a bucket of pig entrails and blood over him.

  6. The leftist media have been on a furious campaign to paint Trump as a bigot, a sexist, an Islamophobe, an idiot, a madman, a fascist, a Nazi, and a father with questionable parenting skills.

Alinsky tactics. Accuse the target of what YOU YOURSELF are actually guilty of.

I am starting to think that Trump is acquiring more and more successes against the left is because he’s (knowingly or not) using the lefts own Alinsky tactics against them.

    The Rules

    1. “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood.

    2. “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.

    3. “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.

    4. “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.

    5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

    6. “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.

    7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.

    8. “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.

    9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.

    10. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.

    11. “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.

    12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.

    13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

  7. W was a good man who kept his head down and governed.
    They continuously misunderestimated his strategery

To use a Rock metaphor, W was a classic rock band during the seventies.
    Solid riffs, good presentation, predictable.
Trump is the Sex Pistols. He is not of their world.

  8. @joe6pack.
Yeah. That religion of peace crap was one of his biggest errors. That came from supposed conservative Grover norquist. A double agent according to gaffney.

  9. Jerry Manderin, I like your spirit! 😀
My dad and I have said that about GW a thousand plus times. “Why doesn’t he ever fight back?! Why doesn’t he call them liars!? Why doesn’t he slam the dems when they’ve screwed up?!” And then about 2 years into his second term my dad just said straight out: “He’s drinking again and he doesn’t give a shit.” LOL.

Here are some things GW did do that were unforgivable.
    1. ‘religion of peace’.
    2. He left Ramos and Compean in prison on bullshit reasons to appease Mexico and the illegals.
    3. Putting illegals over US citizens.
    4. That whole TARP shit. Which he later said he regretted, but that’s like saying you regret saying, “hold ma beer n watch this”. He knew it was stupid when he was doing it.

  10. In a 10 second tweet Trump occupies the media for a week. Genius. If the media thinks his tweets are petty, then they are equally petty for responding. It’s like when you are shopping at the dollar store and make fun of the guy working there as beneath you, lacking the self awareness to realize you’re the one shopping there.

  11. He could save it for his press conferences, my personal favorite, but no one would remember what the beef was by then. It would just seem hateful.

Tweets are one man against Satan’s legion. He is seen as punching back, defending himself.

Today’s “you’re getting worse” as the jackals tried to destroy Oval Office furniture was a live tweet. They were humiliated.

He will unload on them at next question/answer and people will understand why.
