Breitbart TX: U.S. Customs officers arrested a Mexican woman who allegedly smuggled 48 pounds of marijuana under and around the car seats of five children.
The 34-year-old Mexican national attempted to cross into the U.S. at the Lukeville Port of Entry in Arizona. The port is located on Highway 85 at the Arizona-Mexico Border.
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer saw a square-shaped object under a blanket at the feet of one of the children, according to information from CBP officials. Officers searched and found a marijuana bundle. The officers found two more batches under and around the car seats of the five children who were in the Ford minivan.
CBP officials say the woman smuggled about $24,000 in marijuana into the country.
Officers seized the drugs and arrested the woman. They turned over the children to a family member. CBP officers turned the woman over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) for possible prosecution for drug smuggling.

They are lucky that ICE caught them and not the Cartel. In marijuana-legal California, Oregon, Washington and Colorado, the Cartels have been growing dope here since before it was legal. And they tend to not like competition.

Alcohol prohibition in the US was responsible for an increase in alcohol consumption and a massive expansion of organized crime in our nation. In the wake of alcohol prohibition, murder, mayhem, lawlessness and destruction. Once the damage was done we were smart enough to repeal the idiocy of alcohol prohibition. Our government was stupid enough however to go forward and repeat the exact same mistake regarding other vices like cannabis, further strengthening the crime lords we were trying to rid ourselves of.
The “War on Drugs” that was launched in the US is still being forced on other nations and has been a complete global disaster. Shooting ourselves in the foot wasn’t bad enough, we then held a fiscal gun on other nations like Colombia, Israel, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica etc. and forced them to repeat the exact same mistake. This total debacle has resulted in the creation of huge powerful global crime cartels and a crime wave of epic proportions destroying the lives of people it was supposed to protect.
Time to end the failed war on cannabis and legalize nationwide!

Mexican women have been using babies in carriers to conceal goods they are shoplifting while ‘shopping’ in WalMart for many years. I have friends who are WM Associates that see it all the time but are forbidden from doing anything about it. They are told to look the other way. After the first few times observing this behavior they even quit reporting it to managers.
The closest Walmart is 15 miles away from me. The place used to be a dump in the kindest words I can think of. I was dragged into that store not long ago. I was astonished the remodeled the whole store and it looked great. But, still to far away for me.
