  1. The Communist Left destroying America.
    Need anymore proof???

The dirty, little secret that they don’t want you to know, and will go out of their way to destroy anyone espousing it, is that when the economy is doing well and America is firing on all 8 cylinders EVERYBODY does well and can’t be beat!
The Social ist/Communist Left can NEVER be this good and they know they can never compete on a level playing field. The only way to beat America is to drag it down to their level of SUCK & Suffering!

  2. The second video was in January, a lot of the boarding up has been removed since then. But I’m sure the unleased space hasn’t changed much.
Jerry’s Liquor is where my scout troop had its Christmas Tree lot in 2017-2018 – Jerry’s had closed and it looked pretty much like that. We did very well there, but in 2019 the owner took too long to say yes so we skipped it. We are doing a lot this year but I haven’t heard the details yet. It is a great business experience for the scouts and a great fundraiser.

  3. Of course the other part re Jerry’s Liquor is that the store closed in 2016 or 2017… and they still haven’t broken ground on whatever they planned to replace it with.

  4. 1950’s, WDS. Every Wednesday at noon. Air raid siren testing. Loud and scary. You could hear it for miles. It made you realize what the British went through in WWII but this time it was for Soviet mushroom clouds.

  5. I recently watched an hour and a half archived video of the opening day of the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair “Century 21”. The women and most of the girls were wearing dresses or skirts and most of the men and even a large number of boys were wearing suits or suit jackets and ties. The younger boys were all dressed nicely in proper, belted jeans with shirts (not tee shirts).

I noted a bunch of things: The groups of youngsters without adults weren’t overly rambuctious or disprespectful of the people around them; they weren’t running through the crowd with complete unawareness of bumping into others.

Most people did not like to be in the camera shots and quickly turned away from the cameras or slunk through the camera’s field. Unlike today’s attention-seekers, they were self-conscious and modest.

I don’t know — there are just too many things that have changed about our society for the worse, I think, that contribute to the blight in every aspect of our lives. In rural America we’ve got rampant drug addiction and whole countrysides who are raised in the welfare system, too.

If it came down to one thing, I’d say it was selfishness.

  7. “People who appear wistful often show a longing for something or a look of serious reflection. One way to describe ‘wistful’ is as the sad appearance of someone looking back and thinking ‘if only…’ A thoughtful or pensive mood centered on something good in the past that is missed or something not so good in the present that could have been better ‘if only’ something had gone differently — these things make for a wistful outlook.”
