Yes, What The Japanese Are About to Do…Is How We Got Godzilla

Townhall-

When I first read this, I thought it was a joke. The Japanese are going to release radioactive water from the Fukushima reactor into the sea—and it’s totally fine, say the experts. Yeah, read that right. We’re going to release radioactive water into the environment. As Barstool Sports Network aptly noted, “this is how we got Godzilla.” Not everyone is in agreement. The Japanese fisheries are totally opposed to this plan, along with a host of other local environmental groups. I mean, wouldn’t you. China and South Korea have also expressed their opposition to releasing toxic water back into the sea (via Associated Press):

@Breaking911 BREAKING: Japanese government will release treated Fukushima nuclear power plant water into the sea. The International Atomic Energy Agency says there will be no negative impact on humans or the environment. 7:29 PM · Apr 12, 2021

  1. “With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high tension wires down

Helpless people on a subway train
Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them

He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town

Oh no, they say, he’s got to go
    Go go Godzilla,

    yeah

    Oh no, there goes Tokyo
    Go go Godzilla,

    yeah”

  2. If the Japanese were REALLY such smart engineers they would NOT have had their backup power for the nuclear site right on the same grounds, subject to a tsunami swampout.
Instead, they should have positioned it up in the hills just a few miles away, safe and sound.

  3. Look on the plus side… when you’re having that intimate romantic dinner at your favorite seafood establishment, you won’t have a problem finding your glowing salmon or flounder on the plate.

“That’s just great. It’s all going to come straight to the Pacific Northwest. As if we didn’t have enough problems already.”

…based on what I’ve seen about Portland and Seattle, genetic mutation may be the only way to get that crowd under control…and not all mutations are BAD, maybe it will make their brains mature and cause their decency glands to enlarge…

  5. Or… The Greens and the Media have been hysterically fear-mongering radiation for decades, and what the Japs are doing is perfectly safe.

Not saying that is the definitely the case, but it’s not like a hundred precedents haven’t occurred.

  6. After destroying Tokyo, New York City, San Francisco, and now Hong Kong in the latest Godzilla movie can we sic Godzilla and the rest of the monsters on Mecca next. I’m a sucker for Godzilla movies since I saw my first Godzilla movie back in the 60’s Godzilla vs. Mothra. I took my son when he was 3 to see his his first Godzilla movie, Godzilla 1985 and he cried when Godzilla died. Don’t worry, he always comes back in another sequel. And he loves cheesy, corny Godzilla and monster movies as much as I do.

  7. How much water’s in the Pacific Ocean?
How much water are they dumping?
What kind of “radioactive” water is it?
“Radioactive” and “Irradiated” are two different things.

Let’s see the math before we have a conniption.
(Japs spelled it “Gojira” in honky letters – some scribbled chicken scratch in Jap)

  8. The Pacific Ocean is the largest and deepest ocean in the world. I have been across it 3 times while I was in the Navy. And once flying over the Pacific Ocean from Clark AFB in the Philippines to Japan and Anchorage, Alaska and finally down to Travis AFB outside of San Francisco in one day and a very long flight home. It took us 3 weeks to get to the Philippines from San Diego with a stopover at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and one day to fly home. Unless you’ve been out there in the middle of it you really don’t realize how immensely big the Pacific Ocean is.

  9. Wow… I did not hear about this. And yes, this is exactly how we got Godzilla, that and pollution… even though he was a nice Dino that helped kids protected the planet, and King Kong was an asshole that ate humans and got off on Fay Wray’s scent. THEN Hollywood reversed their roles.

  10. When you spend 1/10th of 1% of your GDP on national defense, THAT’S how you get Godzilla to stomp you a new MUDHOLE! 😮 😮 😮

    That’s why Godzilla doesn’t mess with the U.S. 😉
