Another nail in the coffin of the Cult of Climastrology

Climastrology.

That’s what William Teach of The Pirate’s Cove calls climatology. It’s an apt description.

Teach reports that The Hockey Shtick (another good zinger) has been dealt a blow by a paper just published that states there is no warming hiding in the deep oceans – a claim made by climastrologists to explain why none of the activity predicted in their models has happened.

There isn’t any warming in the oceans, upper or lower, or in the atmosphere, upper or lower.

Where is it? I can’t find it, can you?

Yet, we have to endure a-holes in the media that confront people with the “98% of scientists agree that there’s ‘something happening” BS.

That’s all they know. They trust these scientists because THEY HAVE TO. It’s political at this point, not scientific. They NEED IT TO BE WARMING.

How screwed up are you that you would actively root and hope for catastrophe just in order to say “I told ya so”?

  1. I always ask people to walk me through how they became ‘believers’. If they are honest about being scientific then they had to have read something, seen something, done some research. They have to have something they can show me that justifies their obsession with the existence of this phenomenon.
And the only response I have ever gotten has been rhetoric. Or a link to rhetoric and unsubstantiated data.

  2. Is there warming here?
    Is there warming there?
I look and look and look,
    but can’t find warming anywhere.

Is it warming in the air?
Is it warming on the ground?
Is it warming in that field?
Is it warming on that mound?

Perhaps the heat is hiding in the sea.
Perhaps it’s hiding in oceans deep.
If there, we must find it soon
or our lavish grants we cannot keep.

We need this gravy train to run,
we need to justify our job.
We need to find this missing heat
or we will be flipping burgers with Bob.
