Eagles of Death Banned From French Venues For Telling the Truth About Islam

In an interview published last week on alt-right digital magazine Taki’s, Hughes railed against Muslims and suggested a politically correct “liberal mentality” toward religious tolerance led to the bloodshed.

He alleged a larger conspiracy among French Muslims, telling the magazine, “I saw Muslims celebrating in the street during the attack. I saw it with my own eyes. In real time! How did they know what was going on? There must have been coordination.”

Hughes also reiterated controversial claims he made in March when he told Fox Business Network host Kennedy that he believes Bataclan security guards may have been aware of the terror plot in advance. Asked in the Taki’s interview about the allegations—for which he previously apologized—the musician doubled down by noting many of the security guards were Muslim; that the backstage door was propped open during the attack; and that, he believes, the attackers cased the venue earlier in the day with help from staff.

“Being in total disagreement with Jesse Hughes’ recent allegations given in an [interview] with an American media, both Cabaret Vert & Rock en Seine festivals have decided to cancel the band’s performance,” the festivals announced Friday on their respectivewebsites. “We thank you for your understanding.”

  1. Now let’s see what happens to this band. Will his bandmates and management stand by him, or tell him to shut up? The cancellations will start to stack up, abroad, then here. Can he stick to his guns, or will he be eaten by the machine?

He needs our support and our prayers.

  2. F them, the French, that is. And this is a surprise to who? They have let infiltrators into their country and soon will be crying for American and European help to clean up the mess. Until they, the French, grown a pair of steel balls and call this sh17 for what it is, they will never be what they were in the past. Time to man up France and do what needs to be done, Marshall Law needs to be implemented in all of the hot spots, and only you, France knows where those are, need a map? Google it! Jerks!

  4. Now, which performers will agree with Cabaret Vert & Rock en Seine festivals’ disagreement with Jesse Hughes’ own lyin’ eyes? If the festivals’ management can drop acts for issues unrelated to the acts’ performance, surely the issue is important enough to allow other acts that disagree with festival managements’ opinion to walk away from their own contracts to appear. It really is that important, whatever “it” is. Which, of course, means that those acts that do appear, agree with festival management on these important issues of the day. Caveat emptor (that’s Greek for “smoke ’em, if you got ’em”).
