What he is saying maybe true but herein lies our dilemma: We are subjected 24/7 to these ugly people so much so that it becomes difficult to have good thoughts.
I might not go so far as to characterize my thoughts as “ugly,” but I can certainly say that the current political climate in this country is like a low-grade depression that I just can’t shake. I am gravely worried about the future of this country, and the stress of worry exhausts me.
Compare this to the Reagan years, when I was happy, energetic, and optimistic. Liberalism is just bad for you, is all.
Love me some Roald Dahl. I can still remember a story of 2 men touring a meat processing plant. They move in a little too close and one gets lifted up to the 2nd story and processed just like the hogs. Funny how stuff stays with you.

We got the audio tape of The Twits from the library for long car trips for the kids. It is hysterical. We got it a few more times after.
