Franken Says It’s Racist To Call Warren Pocahontas

Apparently, it is okay to pretend to be an Indian to take advantage of minority privileges.

‘With all due respect, that’s racist’: Al Franken takes on Donald Trump for calling Elizabeth Warren ‘Pocahontas’

  • Sen. Al Franken sat down with CNN’s Jake Tapper today and said he would have said something had he attended a meeting with Donald Trump on Thursday
  • There, Trump reportedly mocked the Democrats for Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s prominent position saying, ‘Pocahontas is now the face of your party’
  • Warren’s family had claimed Native American ancestry and she dominated the news this week after being tossed out of debate over Sen. Jeff Sessions
  • The Massachusetts Democrat had attempted to read a letter critical of Sessions, now the attorney general, written by Coretta Scott King
  • Franken said he would have told the president the comment was ‘racist’ and ‘completely unacceptable’ had he been in the room

  1. I just loved Al Franken in the movie “Trading Places” with Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy. Al Franken actually plays himself in the train scene at the end, where they put someone into a hairy gorilla costume, and then put the person wearing it into a cage with a REAL gorilla! And of course, the real gorilla is horny.

  2. There are several racist towns on that logic.

Besides, Pocahontas has been considered in popular culture to be a princess.

Additionally, rather than using the N-word, we can use Obama(son) and be just as racist. Right? Nah, Al it doesn’t compute.

Heck, even if we took the most racist proper noun and called someone the KKK I don’t think that would even be racist. I dunno, can calling someone a proper noun be an act of racism? I don’t really see it, but then again I see most things differently.

  3. Where was Jake Tapper when this happened?
Wasn’t he in the interviewer’s chair?
Doesn’t he know the context by now? Why she is called Pocahontas?
Did he bother to ask Franken about that reason?
    No.
Why not? Because that would be critical of a fellow Democrat.
Can’t have that. Can’t be critiquing Democrats on CNN.

  4. Actually, Warren is the racist. She appropriated a false native american ancestry to take advantage of special treatment – that’s just short of dressing in black face in order to get a show on BET.

Burying Warren’s claim of being part native American is something the left is desperate to do. There is no way to claim that Warren didn’t make these claims, so the tactic is to try to force people not to refer to it. Having lived and worked with Warren supporters for many years, defusing this issue is more impotant than hiding Warren’s socialism.

  5. I’ll play lefty.
It’s racist that the loons voted for you, but didn’t put up and vote for deserving candidates from the Somali / Obama Refugee delegation setting there.

  6. I prefer calling Warren “Lieawatha”, and calling Al “Froggy” Franken an ass, because that’s what he is and always was. Suddenly he thinks he’s the (ugly) face of the Democrat party along the obnoxious Lieawatha.

  7. I have no idea what the word “racist” means anymore but whatever it means, I don’t see it excluded in the 1st Amendment, or the 13th Amendment, or any other Amendment, or anywhere in the Constitution.

  8. Fucktard Franken is a troll.

He claims we’re saying Pocahontas, in order to generate hatred against us by the left’s base. But all the time he knows we are calling Warren FAUXCAHONTAS because she is no more Indian than I am.

Hell, if we could get away with pulling the shit Fauxcahontas gets away with, we could all say we are part Black, Indian, Asian, Mexican, female, transgender, disabled, Jewish and practice Mohammedanism. Then we could all become Teflon-coated, rage-resistant comedians, making a fortune telling outrageously racist, misogynist shit. I’d pay cash money to see that act.

  9. Sooooo … how is calling ANYONE, ANY-FUCKING-THING declaring one race superior to all the others? How is that, say, the equivalent of throwing people into ovens – ON ACCOUNT OF RACIAL CHARACTERISTICS?

The word doesn’t mean what he purports it to mean.

Racism is a real, honest-to-goodness, grotesquerie of a virulent hatred embodied in the spirit and soul of totalitarianism – and should not be shamelessly and irresponsibly bandied about to the point of making it meaningless.

Or, perhaps, Franken’s a fool and doesn’t really understand the words that ooze from his mouth.
“Constipation of the brain and diarrhea of the mouth” as we used to say as kids.

    izlamo delenda est …
