Pentagon finds $12.8 billion for Trump’s border wall

wash exam-

The Defense Department has identified $12.8 billion in possible funding that it could use to fulfill President Trump’s call for a border wall.

Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., released the 20-page spreadsheet on Twitter Monday night.

Trump last month declared a national emergency at the border, and said he wants to use $3.6 billion for border wall projects. The Pentagon’s list said it has found possible funding sources that are “in excess of the amount needed.”

Congress has passed a resolution to disapprove of Trump’s push for emergency funding, but Trump vetoed it, and lawmakers are not expected to have enough votes to override him. Opponents of Trump’s move are still hopeful that court challenge might prevent Trump from spending the money.

  1. Two hours later, a District of Columbia judge found that the money is still lost. And that it will stay lost.

And if you find more money that it will be lost too.

  2. because we may have to build some more MOAB’s, and those don’t just appear by waving a magic wand and sprinkling pixie dust, right.
besides walls are better, even though MOAB’s are fun.

  3. I’m having trouble grasping the cost of this wall. The Gerald Ford aircraft carrier came in a just under 13 billion. I realize there are land acquisition issues but we’re talking steel slat walls. Just seems pricey at 5 billion requested monies.

  4. If Obama could magically find over $150,000,000,000 to finance the terror regime in Iran, finding $12,800,000,000 for national security should be easy. Right? Let’s get rid of all those zeros for a second.
$150b vs. $12.8b. DC is awash in our confiscated money, it seems.

Aside from that, as an unwilling contributor, i’ll take the trump deal.
