The Verge- A company named Syniverse, which provides networking services, later took blame for the messages being delayed. Syniverse said a single server was at fault: that server failed on February 14th, trapping messages waiting to be sent out; the server was only brought back online on November 7th. When that happened, all of the messages were finally sent out. Syniverse initially sent out a note saying that 168,149 delayed messages were sent out. The result has some compelling stories: people getting texts from relatives who had died, and a girl starting a new exchange with an ex-boyfriend. more Anyone remember a TV drama series from the mid-70s maybe about a postal worker whose job was to deliver letters that were mislaid in the postal system for a couple decades? Each week was about people whose lives were changed, for either better or worse, because of the missing letters. – Chi Guy |
What a mess! Hopefully, it didn’t cause anybody missed opportunities or melodrama.

9 months, eh, so someone got a text, “I’m trying to get pregnant” possibly followed up on the same day, “It’s a beautiful boy!”
Then sent a reply, “Geez, you’ve got the gestation period of a mayfly.”

One of my wife’s favorite shows
It’s on the hallmark channel
at least it’s faster than Hillary’s turning over messages from her server … you know, the illegal server?
Any from Pierre Delecto?
MJA, yes, that’s it! “The Letters” !
IMDb says there were two movies made but it was never picked up into a series. The second pilot “” is on Amazon Prime for 99 cents.
IMDb:
In 1973, Aaron Spelling developed two pilots with a similar theme: this one [The Letters] and Letters from Three Lovers (1973). In both pilots, letters were delayed in delivery by one year per accident or mischance; the delay would have a profound effect on the sender or the recipient. Henry Jones played the postman delivering the long lost letters in both pilots. Neither pilot was picked up for a continuing series.
