As Election Day Nears, Wisconsin’s Governor Dithers – IOTW Report

As Election Day Nears, Wisconsin’s Governor Dithers

Tuesday, April 7th is primary day here in the diary state, we’re also under a “stay- at-home” order from Governor Tony Evers (d). So what are residents to do, go to their local polling places next week and risk catching the CCP flu or hunker down in their living rooms watching the neighbors exercise their rights?

Democrats are angry that Evers won’t delay the election and predict a train wreck as citizens “disenfranchise” themselves. Here

Republicans, who control both houses of the legislature, won’t let the governor delay to May 19th. Here

Meanwhile, the governor has called out the National Guard to man polling places, since some municipalities can’t  find volunteers willing to staff local voting sites. Here

On a personal note, I voted twice yesterday as did half of the people in my township (159 residents). The first absentee ballot was for the local election, state supreme court, Marsy’s Law and primaries on April 7th, the second was for a special election May 12th to replace Sean Duffy, who retired late last year. – Dr. Tar

  1. Let’s get down to brass tacs on this shutdown thing, people.

Essentially, it’s people who mostly will never lose a paycheck, gov’t employees and those who leech off big gov’t, wanting to destroy people who will not get a paycheck in a shutdown, people who don’t live off gov’t.

They think it’s their big chance to kill capitalists, who they think are republicans.

And check out thegatewaypundit for articles showing Fauci is literally pulling everything out of his ass and changing positions based upon who’s in office etc.

This is a war. I hope people wake up before they let the other side kill them.

  2. If you click the link to the Politico story there is a picture of a polling place in Waukesha. It is an old DMV building. I once went to register a title there. When I got there the line was snaked around a metal chair placed over a pile of vomit. The State DMV trogs were too lazy to clean it up. In stead, they made people walk around it for at least the forty minutes I was there despite the continued complaints of all there. Nothing has changed in Wisconsin State government.

  3. The Governor is no longer in control. He signed an executive order giving control to the state Health Dept. The state statue the Health Dept. is using to shut down the state doesn’t mention delaying elections. The Legislature has denied the delay, and rightly so. The statue was written long ago to deal with the HIV/AIDS ‘epidemic’.
