Don’t know what a skiplagger is?
Suppose you want to go to Colorado from Florida. The cheapest non-stop flight is $400. You do a little research and find a $300 flight from Florida to Canada with 3 layovers, the first being in Colorado.
So you book that flight and simply get off in Colorado, skipping the rest of the flights.
Airlines hate that, and Lufthansa is going after a passenger that employed this technique.
I don’t fly. I can’t bring my gun.
I’ve done this at least a dozen times over the years.
When their pricing system makes sense only to a government bureaucrat I am more than happy to fuck them up their ass.
What are the airlines’ damages here? They got paid.
What the hell difference does it make to the airline? They got paid, and save on fuel and peanuts for the last leg.
There’s a way to get around the airline catching you. Get on the flight you don’t want to be on, cause a scene, wear a MAGA hat, don’t take a bath, airline throws you off the flight. Mission accomplished.
Mr. Pinko
Smell ya later. Your poor girl friend.
Well, of course it’s Lufthansa.
There are Rules and you Will follow them
ve vill need your papers in order to exit zee plane, sgt. stay wis zee passenger und see to it they board zee next leg of zee flight.
Point well made, however, why the F’ would anyone want to leave Florida to go to Colorado?
But it’s perfectly fine if they bump you off the flight because they sold 110 seats on a 100 seat plane!
The airlines should like skiplaggers. They leave empty seats that can be sold to those on the wait list.
So they make more money.
Flying is such an appealing prospect now days with being stuck on tarmacs for 8 or 9 hours, lost luggage and stolen items, being groped by low life human trash, and overall shabby treatment that I’d rather walk.
I have done this in the past but learned that I should only do it on the return half of my trip. When I was a no show after the stopover on my outbound my return trip was cancelled by one of the airlines.
Why would anyone be in Florida?
You don’t have the freedom to pay for a ticket and get off where you want I guess.
If I absolutely must fly I want to know about as late as possible. I am going to be miserable the entire time leading up to the flight just thinking about just what a miserable experience I am going to have to go through on their flying cattle car
Not to worry that little congress cortex bimbo will eliminate all airlines within the next few years!
There is a thing called standby, no show empty seats are always passed on. I fly a lot for work and they will delay a flight to seat standbys especially on long distance flights.
I’m with you fellahs.
Can’t discern any damage to the airline.
With the possible exception of showing what a lie their higher priced “direct flight” bullshit is. And maybe that’s enough.
(as a disclaimer, I flew Lufthansa once and enjoyed their professionalism immensely)
izlamo delenda est …
Claim a ‘medical emergency’ (I’m sick of flying on your plane today).
I’d LOVE to see Europe some day (BEFORE the mohammedans destroy it… 🙄 ), but given the Luft Stalag charm of airports since 9/11, I’d sooner wait for Occasional-Cortex’s Trans-Atlantic train to get there. 🙄

To watch the video (over, and over) while waiting for the cleanup.

There’ll still be plenty of airlines. Ticket prices will be up. Public cavity searches will be up. Only the government restricted altitude will be down. (But, as long as you don’t fully inflate the tries, you’ll be fine.)
You would think they’d be happy you’re lightening the aircraft weight at no expense to them.
Whatever happened to “The customer is always right”?
