Best Mayor of NYC Calls Out the Worst Over Assaults on NYPD Officers

Fox News

Rudy Giuliani pointed the finger squarely at New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio after videos surfaced Monday of people attacking NYPD officers by dousing them with water, saying this “would never happen in a million years when I was mayor of New York City.”

Footage shows separate incidents of people in Harlem using buckets to splash and dump water over uniformed officers, as the cops calmly walk away. De Blasio condemned the acts as “Completely unacceptable,” and said, “We won’t tolerate this kind of disrespect.” Still, former mayor Giuliani believes the 2020 presidential candidate is part of the problem. 1. Pollice response: If you live on this street or that street police response will be delayed until officer’s can return to HQ to get rain coats. Expect delays of 30 minutes or more.

  2. I just watched the videos. First, DeBlasio says this disrespect will not be tolerated. When your police officers are shown NOT RESPONDING and WALKING AWAY, you are tolerating the disrespect.

Second, in the last video, when the kid walks up right behind the officer and dumps a bucket of water on his head, the cop should have turned and popped a cap in him. Or at least tased him and arrested him for assaulting an officer.

  3. That’s step one. Step two will be more virulent stuff than water.
Step three will be physically violent.
Then comes “Katey bar the door”.
The NYC cops better have a plan and a union ready to strike.

  4. Guiliani best mayor that’s not saying a whole lot. With the possible exception of Koch no other mayor in the last sixty years could reasonably called sane or competent.

  5. Respond by arrests and get sued, isolated, shamed and ridiculed while your home address is posted and your kids get beaten daily while the NY Times suggest that you go to diversity training….better to get wet and not lose your rank and pension…it is ugly but I do not blame them, I blame the people who are voted into power and those who vote for them. Touch one of them and your life will be destroyed , this is Progressive thought in action.

  6. Little bit of an overreach to shoot a kid throwing water on people, no matter whom. to the folks who just suggested doing so.

If anything, it shows the contempt and lawlessness that has been ingrained and taught to these kids by whatever parents they might have (which is probably a mother on some sort of assistance program and an absent father or no father at all).

The black community inculcates a hatred for authority starting at an early age and it carries forward into actions like today, when the NAACP unanimously votes to impeach Trump.

Think they need to read this at churches in Harlem at little more often:

Romans 13:1-5 King James Version (KJV)
13 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

  7. Local NYC News alert!

Another incident involving officers being assaulted with water just happened in Harlem according to what I just heard on the radio. One arrest made…this is a ‘trend’ that must be STOPPED in it’s early tracks.

    THIS.IS.NOT.GOOD.

    DeCommio needs to be #IMPEACHDeblasio

  8. I agree that a kid assaulting the police – and lets face it, he’s just doing it to honor his heroes, DeBlasio and Obama – does not deserve to be shot.

“Well, then, does he deserve to have his face bashed in and be beaten into a coma only to wake up to be a vegetable for the rest of his life?”

  9. This news is very disturbing. The narrative from the deBlasio administration is as I predicted; officially state how the police should be respected, blah, blah, while at the same time infer the police officers are tolerant, dedicated servants of the community and not injured during incidents – just “kids” having fun. Anyone with any sense knows these incidents are an assault on police officers – a crime.
NYC should be ashamed of the cretin socialist mayor that has made assaulting the NYPD a non event. Well, thank God for pushback and criticism from the public, nationally, the adult perps are being sought and charged; https://nypost.com/2019/07/23/cops-id-one-of-the-nypd-water-throwers-say-hes-a-gang-member/ .
