Boeing Responds To Trump – “We Can Make It For Less And It’ll Be Great”

Boeing tells Trump new Air Force Ones will come in under $4B

“We’re going to make sure that he gets the best capability and that it’s done affordably,” Boeing’s CEO said Wednesday.

However, it’s entirely possible that Trump won’t ever fly in an official capacity on the new planes. Previous estimates from the U.S. Air Force placed delivery of the new presidential jumbo jets around 2024 — at the very end of Trump’s administration, if he serves two terms.

Trump, who also made similar remarks this month about Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Lightning II program, also met with that company’s CEO, Marillyn Hewson, at his Palm Beach resort Wednesday. Details of any progress weren’t available for that discussion.

“It’s a dance, you know. It’s a little bit of a dance,” Trump said. “We’re going to get the costs down and we’re going to do it beautifully.”

  1. They had to replace the old AF-1 series, they’re suffering from shame which has weakened the airframe. It’s four mighty GE GEnx engines are limp, pitiful imitations of what they once were. These aircraft used to roar through the skies. Now they moan and whine across America and bitch about the unfair jet stream that the Russians messed with.

  2. It’s wonderful that Trump is already in Presidential mode. Haven’t seen that decisiveness and optimism since forever. It’s catching. Trump is not one to “reward our friends and punish our enemies” (can you believe Obama actually said that before Congress? And no one said anything. It reminded me of the news reel where Hitler took over the party and started naming men who were then escorted out and executed.).
    Got off topic…
Americans are starting to feel proud and secure again, and we know there’s nothing we can’t do — we proved it in November.
