American Mirror: Students at Cerritos College are questioning why special NASA internships are restricted to their illegal immigrant classmates, and are urging the student senate to open the opportunity to all.
Last week, the Associated Students of Cerritos College Senate considered a funding increase to add two additional slots to the school’s coveted Arduino Internship Opportunity – part of the NASA California Grant Community College STEM Project, the Talon Marks reports.
The scholarship allows college students to create projects that are evaluated by NASA, and there’s currently 10 students participating. But some students at the meeting pointed out that the program is currently setup to benefit only “undocumented” students or international students, and should be available to everyone. more

I work with NASA Langley Research Center (NASA LaRC). I have to basically give them my left nut to get on base and collect it when I’m done. Once on base, even some of the individual buildings I need to go to are security keyed so only authorized people get in. How the phuck are illegals working at NASA?!?
Who sets this policy? Someone at the college? Someone at NASA? A joint decision between the two ?
Oh, wait, it might be a committee decision to avoid individual accountability. Individual or committee – whoever set the policy should be fired as best option or at least made to pay the tuition out of their own pocket. Not out of someone else’s pocket.
