California counties closing In-N-Out locations for refusal to verify COVID vaccination

Just The News: Counties in California continue to crack down on In-N-Out Burger fast food locations over their refusal to verify the COVID-19 vaccination status of their customers.

Contra Costa County, which lies northeast of the San Francisco Bay, closed the Pleasant Hill location indefinitely Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

The county, like many others in the state, have requirements about vaccine verification or proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test.

The Irvine-based restaurant franchise famous for its off-menu options and geographic limitation to the western half of the U.S issued a statement on the refusal to verify vaccination status.

“We refuse to become the vaccination police for any government,” said Arnie Wensinger, the company’s chief legal and business officer. “It is unreasonable, invasive, and unsafe to force our restaurant associates to segregate customers into those who may be served and those who may not.”

In a separate statement regarding the closure of the chain’s San Francisco location, Wensinger called the mandate a clear governmental overreach that is “intrusive, improper, and offensive.” read more

  1. Chasing yet more people and corporations out of CA!
If you really want to stay in California better find something well anchored into the ground to hang on to or yer gonna wind up getting sucked out of the place by the great exodus!!

  2. As I recall, In and Out pays its employees well and has good benefits. There is low turnover. Their employees are clean cut and well spoken. They are the type of employer that leftists say all employers should be.

Now leftists want to close them. I guess it makes as much sense as anything else leftists do. Then again, the fact that they do pay well and have benefits allows them to get the cream of the crop. As I said, their employees are well spoken. Feel free to read what is written in neon between the lines, so closing In and Out poses no problem.

This is based on my, admittedly, limit experience and from what I have heard.

  3. I wrote to In-N-Out. I also wrote to the MarsCandy Company. I thanked In-N-Out for their unwavering stance. I told Mars we will NEVER purchase any of their products after watching the Twix commercial with a witch and little boy. Opinions=Money and money talks. One company has our loyalty, the other can go to woke Broke Town..

  4. Don’t eat fast food but I’d grab some In & Out if there was here.

I’d hit a Chick Fil-A once in a while back in Texas until they got woke. Never understood why people raved about it. Pretty mundane food.

  5. Shut them all down! It will stop the obesity and diabetes that’s rampant in our society. I’m not a fan of fast food restaurants. I get nervous at the looks of some of the workers in those places. Tats, face piercings, and rainbow colored hair makes me wonder about their personal hygiene. Makes me wanna gag.
