St. Louis Cardinals Drop the Ball on Rally Cat Adoption

The stray kitten that wondered onto the field at Busch Stadium on August 9th is now the center of a running dispute over who will ultimately be able to exploit his likeness in the future.  Named “Rally Cat”,  because Cardinal’s catcher Yadier Molina stroked a game winning grand slam once play resumed after the cats removal, the animal was thought lost until he was found in a trap later that night by the Saint Louis Ferial Cat Outreach (SLFCO).

The Cardinals want their good luck charm back in their club house, but the SLFCO doesn’t believe that is an appropriate home for their now famous ward.

  1. lol, tony…..just visited an antique store today with a menacing sign announcing that “unaccompanied children would be given espresso and a free kitten”……..probably works to keep down the unaccompanied children problem…

  2. Reboot must still have a sore ass.
    😉

I volunteered in a cat shelter and know that feral cats, once tamed, make especially wonderful pets. Maybe because they know what their alternatives were!

  3. I’ll let you chat with some of my neighborhood ferals. They live on chickens, skinks, geckos, and shrews, and are surrounded by loose mutts.

You ain’t gettin within thirty feet of them, they are smart.

  4. Since the purpose of SLFCO is to trap, neuter and RELEASE back to where it was found, where do they get off deciding where the kitty goes. Release the kitty to where it was found, which was Busch Stadium. I can’t even imagine a better home with so much love to go around.
